THE LUSH HAUL - HALLOWEEN EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! I absolutely love this time of year ... well, it is the month of Halloween! Not to forget that for me, this is time of year is officially when I really start to love having baths, which is perfect considering Lush release their Halloween collection around the same time! Each year I like to do a little haul for you guys to show you what amazing goodies they have ... and like every year I was not disappointed!

One of the first things I picked up was the 'Lord Of Misrule' shower cream! This scent is honestly one of my favourite scents from Lush EVER! It just sends me into auto-autumn mode! Every year I buy the medium size bottle and it when it runs out I'm always super upset, so this year I went for the big boy! Along with the shower cream, I of course had to grab the 'Lord Of Misrule' bath bomb! This beauty has a green exterior which fizzes away in your bath to reveal a wine coloured inner ... I instagrammed my bath the other day after using this and it looked so freaking cool! The bomb and shower cream has a real warm earthy scent which mainly comes from the patchouli and black pepper! I then picked up 'Monsters Ball' which I think was introduced last year? Not sure ... I'm yet to use this bomb but have seen it demo'd in the store and I cannot wait to use it! The bath bomb has a lovely sweet and citrus element to it which I LOVE! The next bath bomb I picked up was a new edition to the range this year and I am so bloody excited! I'm sure you have all seen the new jelly bombs all over Instagram ... unfortunately they're only available online or in their Oxford Street Store. So when I saw 'Ectoplasm' was a Jelly Bomb, I literally threw it into my basket! The jelly forms from the brown seaweed that they have used in the formula which not only makes your bath look incredible but also helps soften your skin! Not to mention this bath bomb smells like heaven, you guys all know how much I love the scent of grapefruit ... well mix in tangerine and litsea oil and you have the best citrus scent ever! Last but not least I picked up 'Bewitched' ... you can't go have a Lush Haul without a Bubble bar right? Well this feline shaped bar is packed with essential oils to help provide your skin with some amazing benefits but is also scented with bergamot and blackberries! Well, there you have it! Hopefully this will last me a week or two ... but I'm not worried because soon enough I'll be heading back to Lush for a Christmas Haul!! SO EXCITED!!! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE CORPORE SANCTUM STUDIO REVIEW - STEM CELL SERUM

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you guys have had a lovely week so far! I have been off from work this week so was able to catch up with so many of my lovely friends as well as really have some 'me' time! I'm actually really quite please my annual leave fell where it did because something in the air has changed it's just been so fresh and crisp outside ... Autumn is really my favourite time of the year, anyone with me? This week I wanted to tell you guys about a serum that was sent to me by the lovely team at Corpore Sanctum Studio ... if you haven't heard of them already you need to get onto their Instagram! You will honestly fall in love with the things they have to offer, I know I did ... when I went onto their website I discovered they had an entire range where skulls seem to be the main inspiration visually ... and let me tell you something, I love skulls! Before we go on, I would just like to mention that although I have been sent the item all views and opinions are completely my own and honest!

The 'never-ageing' serum is vegan and vegetarian friendly and is packed with a bunch of natural ingredients including hibiscus flower extract, apple fruit stem cell extract, gotu kola stem cell extract and grapeseed stem sell extract! If you're like me and want to know what you are using on your skin they have a fantastic blurb on all of the ingredients on their website - I shall leave the link below! The serum is quite thin in consistency and does have a slight scent to it, I l really like the smell! It's fresh and kind of floraly / herbaly - I am no good at describing scents! The website states the serum will plum and hydrate your skin, which at this time of year I am living for! And although it does exactly what it says, I have used other serums that provide a more concentrated result. In terms of usage however I do feel much more comfortable using the serum daily as it does have a slightly weaker pay off? I sometimes find that my skin becomes too oily if I use something stronger on a daily basis but with this serum I have had no issues! I can't wait to discover more items in the range and of course I'll write a review on the back of anymore bits I try! But make sure you guys let me know if you've tried anything from the studio ... I'd love to know! Thank you again to the team at Corpore Sanctum! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE BODY SHOP REVIEW - JAPANESE MATCHA TEA MASK

Happy Sunday Everyone! Not too long ago The Body Shop revealed that they were adding a new addition to they're already amazing line of face masks! I have already got all of the original masks from their collection and I absolutely swear by them and so when I heard there was a new mask hitting the shelves I knew I had to have one! I went into one of their stores a few weeks ago and spotted one ... can anyone guess what happened next?!

Recently Matcha has very much become the in thing and there a lot of people that swear by the tea leaves that have taken over hot drinks for us young hipsters! Confession time ... I really don't like green tea so I was not one that jumped on the bandwagon with Matcha Tea as a drink. But ... put it into a face mask and you have completely won me over! The Japanese Matcha Tea Face Mask is advertised as a pollution cleansing mask, enriched with matcha tea, dandelion extract and aloe vera! I tried the 100% vegan mask the very same day I bought it and I was completely overwhelmed with how beautifully clean and vibrant my skin looked after one use. We tend to forget that our skin goes through a lot and if we don't pay any attention to our skin it starts to look dull, lifeless and aged. The mask has a lovely calming scent, very green and refreshing! I love a mask that gives your skin a boost of moisture but if you haven't exfoliated it doesn't tend to show much of a difference! With this face mask you don't have to worry about that as it gently purifies and exfoliates the skin whilst the aloe vera adds a boost of moisture! I tend to apply the mask before I jump in the shower or the bath, it's just less messy when you're removing it! I'll let it sit for 10 minutes and I like to use circular motions and warm water to rinse. My skin almost craves something that is going to strip away all of the grime that can build up on the skin without being too harsh and this really is the answer! Have any of you tried the matcha mask? Let me know how you got on with it, I'd love to hear about your experience too! You can find me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook - links above! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE KIRAKIRA STUDIO - AHA REVIEW

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I wanted to tell you about a fab cosmetics brand that got in touch with me a while ago! Inspired by Japanese innovations, KiraKira got in touch to ask me if I wanted to review a new liquid facial cleanser that they were launching in the UK! Like any blogger the opportunity to work with a brand is fantastic but more so when the brand is kind, genuine and most importantly passionate about their products! KiraKira got in touch in the final stages of the product being available and a couple of weeks ago I finally got that exciting email to say that it was on its way!

The all natural product claims to completely remove make up and contains three kinds of AHA. Now AHA if you didn't know is an acronym for alpha hyproxy acid and without sounding like I'm about to begin a lecture in chemistry ... AHAs are obtained naturally from various plant sources and milk! Back to the product I am in love with the packaging, to me it definitely targets a younger audience however I don't think that strips out the older generation as the cleanser is really what it's all about. The bottle instructs to apply the liquid evenly to the skin and then rinse ... now I've tried the product a couple of times in the past week or two, and I've used it at least once with a full face and then once when I've had a no-make up day. The clear liquid has a very thin and water like consistency at first but as you begin working it into the skin it becomes a bit more tacky and gel like which helps remove any make-up or any of that 'end of the day grime'! The liquid did a fantastic job on the more open surfaces of my skin such as my forehead, cheeks and jaw line however I do have to say it struggled to remove all of my make up around my nose and under my eyes. However I do really love the idea behind this cleanser and so there is no way that I was going to give up! Like most cleansers water on its own will not remove make up, most brands advise to use a flannel or a muslin cloth. I tried the cleanser again using my 'Real Techniques Miracle Cleansing Sponge' and it worked a treat! The cleaning liquid has little to no scent and has now become part of my everyday evening skincare routine, as a blogger I have tried a number of cleansers and it takes something a little extra special for me to bump something out of my routine! KiraKira ... shante you stay! Thank you again to KiraKira for getting in touch and sending me this amazing product! Make sure you all head over to KiraKira and send them some love ... check out their links below! And don't forget you can find me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook - links above! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE AUTOFOCUS INTERVIEW - PRIM AND PROPA

Happy Sunday Everyone! I know ... I know, I've been away again for some time now! I seem to hit this stage every few months or so when I need something to really give me some inspiration, I know it may seem easy writing a post but a lot of thought and hard work goes into every single post I write and I'd hate to upload something just for the sake of it! The other day I came across an interview that I had done for my brother, he's currently at university studying photography and video. He had a project lined up where he had to film an interview and he had the amazing idea to interview Prim and Propa! Now obviously me being the camera shy introvert I am I said no ... just kidding! I said yes straight away! This will give you guys a peek into the Prim behind Prim and Propa! I had so much fun filming this and I want to say a massive thank you for my brother for all of his hard work! Make sure you all head over and send him some love, he is truly amazing at what he does!

THE MARIO BADESCU SKINCARE REVIEW - FACIAL SPRAY

Happy Sunday Everyone! I love a good facial spray ... who's with me? In the morning there's nothing better that revitalising your skin with a good face mist! One of ride or die mists is Fix Plus from MAC and I haven't really found any that come close! I have however heard a lot of good things about the benefits of rosewater and so when I was having a snoop around Urban Outfitters and saw one by Mario Badescu I thought I would take it home and have a try!

This stuff is pretty amazing, it feels super soft and gentle on the skin ... and the scent! I love a rose scent, it's really calming and soothing first thing in the morning, but the main reason I love the inclusion of rose in this formula are the benefits to your skin. Rosewater has amazing hydrating and moisturising properties and so I love to use this as one my first steps in my daily routine. I use the mist over my serum and moisturiser to give my skin an extra boost of moisture! I can't really compare this facial spray to Fix Plus because I use it in a completely different way. For me this spray is more of a prep step whereas I use Fix Plus to set my face! I've been using the spray for a good month and I do find that my skin stays matte for a lot longer, it can get to a few hours before my skin starts to get oily. I wouldn't say this product is revolutionary but I do love it and will continue to use it ... and not only because I love how much it smells! Have any of you tried the spray before!? Let me know how you got on with it, I'd love to hear about your experience too! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE BULLDOG SKINCARE REVIEW - OIL CONTROL FACE MASK

Happy Sunday Everyone! Bulldog Skincare is one of those brands that I always gravitate towards! Not only because they cater so brilliantly for mens skincare but also because they have such quality products with amazing natural ingredients! I found bulldog on a spree in Boots a while ago and I enjoyed the products a lot! Feel free to have a read of the post I did ... 'The Skincare Review - Bulldog'. Now many of you know I really try and take care of my skin and face masks play a massive part in how I do that. I was shopping around not too long ago and saw Bulldog's Oil Control Face Mask out of the corner of my eye ... we all know what happened next!

I have a combination skin type, I'm more oily in my t-zone and dry everywhere else. I don't really have that much trouble with my skin apart from how oily I get throughout the day, especially around my nose. I've always been on the hunt for something that is really going to draw the oil out of my face and I think I may have found the one! The mask itself is packed with amazing ingredients such as witch hazel, willow bark and juniper. It's also formulated with cornish clay which helps to cleanse the skin and minimise any excess oil. Consistency wise it's actually not overly thick which I thought it might be as in my experience many clay based masks have been, it's just thin enough to layer an equal amount over the face. Now i reviewed this on my Insta-Story a while ago and for certain areas of my face it just wasn't right, it felt like it had stripped back too much oil leaving my face feeling really tight and dry. However, once I had applied a serum and moisturiser it was absolutely fine! I think in the future I'll use it more in targeted areas such as my nose etc! Overall I am a big fan of this mask and I just know it's going to be a staple for me moving forward! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!
