THE CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Post two of my Outfit week and today I bring you what I wore on Christmas Day! Every year we go to a relatives house where most of my family get together for drinks, food, games and more drinks! This year we decided we all had to be Christmassy, I didn't have anything overly Christmassy and so I had to put on my styling hat and work with what I had and this is what I came up with!

Every outfit needs a base or a starting point and mine was these amazing novelty glasses that I got from Primark for £2! This was the "Christmas" part of my look. Red is a super festive colour and so I new that was going to be a focal point of my outfit and so my top was perfect! The yellow in the tartan print really stands out against the sharp red and so I thought I would go gold with my accessories and jewellery. The chain is from Urban Outfitters and I absolutely love wearing this, so easy to put with anything you wear. Although I do have to say it the gold doesn't last too long, the chain is already bronzing a little. I am loving rings at the moment and so I thought I would wear three ... because why not! All three are from Topman because I love the selection they have and one of them is a Christmas present from one of my best friends! Another present from my lovely friend and her sister are these beautiful black leather look Chelsea Boots. Now I love a good boot but Chelsea Boots are my favourite they're so easy to wear both for a casual look or a dressed up look! The material is textured on the boot which I feel stops them from being plain and quite boring, definitely steers away from your standard boot. I'm gonna say this outfit is very Christmas Grunge? Does anybody else see that or is it just me? Haha! I absolutely love this look though and I felt super comfortable throughout the day! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! And I'll see you back on Friday for my New Years Eve outfit!

THE CHRISTMAS PARTY OUTFIT

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you guys have all had a lovely Christmas! So this week there will be three posts going up all based on fashion, with it being the festive period I've been getting all dolled up and I thought it would be quite nice to take things back to how my blog first began! I'm going to start things off with what I wore to my work Christmas party!

So I wanted to smarten things up a bit and wear a black shirt, which I think can be pretty boring for someone like me but I really dressed it up with the collar chain that I picked up from New Look! I really love the shirt because it's completely different from your standard black shirt ... it has grey jersey sleeves! Which I thought was an amazing twist on a classic, Good work Asos! I wore a black tee under the shirt because I don't really like to button the shirt all the way, I normally just do a few at the top. To add some suave to the look I picked up these amazing grey suede loafers from Burton, can we all just take a moment to admire how beautiful they are! And look at the tassles! You guys know I wear glasses but when I go out I like to wear my brown frames, they were from Primark for  a pound but I absolutely love them! Obviously I need to see and so I always wear my contacts. My ring was from Blue Inc, I think I got this a few years back but it's a brushed metal and went really well with the metal feather chain that I got from New Look! I absolutely loved the outfit and it fit really well and I felt really good in it which I feel is really important. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I'll be back on Tuesday for another Outfit post!

THE TOWN HALL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's officially Christmas Eve!! Aaagh! I hope everyone is having a lovely day, I thought I'd end my own little version of Blogmas with something super festive! Every year the Town Hall in Leicester transforms into a Winter Wonderland! Unfortunately I missed the switch on but its always so amazing so I thought I would take a walk down there and take a few pictures. My favourite thing about it all is the atmosphere, its always filled with families have a wander round and everyone's always so happy! I went with my mum and my three brothers and it couldn't have felt more like Christmas!

I hope all of you lovely people have a super amazing Christmas. Spend it with your loved ones and eat lots of food, that's the best way to spend the day hehe! I will be back again on Sunday for another post and then it will be a new post every Sunday!

Lots of love and Merry Christmas x

THE KHAKI PARKA

Happy Sunday Everyone! It has been a few years since I've bought myself a proper coat, but I was browsing the New Look app and saw a Parka on sale! I've always found it quite hard picking out a coat, because of my size I didn't want to buy anything poofy because it has the potential to make you look bigger. There are the sophisticated kind of coats which I've looked at and I think they're really good but personally I don't think they're for me, too smart maybe? But you never know! I might pick one up because they do look quite good! Back to the parka .. I saw it and fell in love! I kind of wanted one with the furry hood but it was £20 more and so I got the one without the fur instead! I quite like it though because it's less fussy looking and it means I can wrap up in a snood without it becoming too bulky. So that you guys can have a look I took a few photos for you! My little brother who is a budding photographer took them for me!

THE YANKEE CANDLE - CHRISTMAS EVE

Happy Thursday Everyone! So sorry for the upload fail yesterday, me and a few friends met up for a lovely Christmas meal! we went to the Grove Farm Pub. It was super pretty inside, it was set out like a house and felt all rustic, warm and cosy! At first the menu looked kind of scary, i'm normally okay with food and not overly picky ... as long as its not fish! Haha! I went with a Chicken dish! It was a chargrilled chicken breast with bacon and cheese, a few onion rings and some chunky chips! So! As well as dinner we thought it would be super fun to do Secret Santa and I got a little cocktail making kit! YAY! ... I'm back today though with a Yankee Candle Review! I was in town the other day and saw that Clinton Cards had their Yankee Candles on offer and of course I couldn't say no. I picked up some tea lights, if you've read my Urban Outfitters Haul you'll have seen that I bought a skull candle holder and so I thought it would be a good idea to get some tea lights for it! I picked them up in Christmas Eve! There were so many Christmassy ones to chose from but I wasn't a massive fan of the other ones although I do want to go back and get Candy Cane Lane! Christmas Eve has a lovely warm and sweet scent, perfect for this time of year! It also has hints of sugared plums and candied fruits! I am in love! You get 12 in a box and they last around 4-6 hours each which I think is really good for a tea-light! A teeny negative is that they don't fill the room with the scent as strongly as the jars but that's mainly because of how small they are ... I love them anyway, haha!

Let me know if you guys have tried any of the festive scents from Yankee Candle or even any other Christmassy candles I should try! Leave your comments below!

THE NIOXIN HAIR SYSTEM KIT

Happy Sunday Everyone! Are we all feeling Christmassy yet? ... I am! Although this time of year is always stressful its really goof to set some time aside and pamper yourself! Now I have quite a few Christmas meals coming up! Lots of meet ups with friends, a work do and then the all important day itself! With that in mind it was time to get a well deserved hair cut. If I'm feeling lazy I have been known to cut it myself ... doesn't always go to plan but hey ho! But with it being Christmas I thought it was best to leave it to a professional, I haven't done a restyle it pretty much looks the same but I needed a bit of a shape/clean up. If you have read my L'oreal Fibrology Review you'll know I am trying to get the thickness back in my hair. I asked my hairdresser if there was anything I could do. She noticed that my hair was still quite thick but that my hair towards the front was thinner. She recommended Nioxin, Treatment 1, I have only used this once so I can't give you guys a full review but I will once I know how I feel about it.

My hairdresser advised that I should use this every other day but not use it with any other shampoo or conditioner, Nioxin is described as a 3 part system to help cleanse, optimise and treat and scalp and hair; creating the optimal scalp enviroment for thicker, denser looking hair. So I'm expecting good things from the stuff! I've only used it once so I can't say if it works but it feels like it might? The shampoo is supposed to cleanse the hair and the box says to lather it for 1-2 minutes followed by the conditioner which is supposed to optimise, It says to leave it in for a few minutes to let it sink in. The shampoo and the conditioner has a minty scent to it and when you use it, it tingles! Which feels super weird but also feels like its doing its job! No idea if that makes sense ... I'm really looking forward to see how the scalp treatment works, which is step 3. You pump it around your roots and massage it in, it warms up a little once you work it in. As I said I've only used it once but I'll pop a review up for you guys and let you know how I get on with it!

Let me know if you've tried anything from Nioxin, It's a brand I've only just discovered so I'd love to hear your thoughts!

THE CHRISTMAS TREE

Happy Wednesday Everyone! So as I said in my last post I will be blogging every Sunday and Wednesday in December. Today I am back with a post about my pride and joy ... my Christmas tree! For me Christmas does not start until my tree goes up. Now in all honesty my tree went up a week ago but tragedy struck on Monday ... the lights on my tree broke *sad face* So today I went into town to get some more! I took this as an opportunity to get some more decorations because ... why not? I initially went into B&M home store for my lights! I got 400 bright white led ones for £24.99, I think I had 200 before but I thought I may as well up the  twinkliness. I didn't find anything else I liked in there so I made my way to The Range! There was so much choice that I think I spent about an hour in there! I have a black artificial Christmas tree from Paperchase that I love! We got a black one because we have a black. white and silver theme throughout our living room. So the decorations I picked up were mainly white, silver and crystal! I have some baubles that I bought a while ago from Paperchase that go up every year on my tree but the rest are from Wilkinsons and I got a bit bored in all honesty. Once I got home I stripped the tree and made it look all pretty again!

I think The Range is going to be my new go to for Christmas Decorations! They're all so beautiful and not too expensive either. I have to say I think my favourite are the reindeer .. the obsession continues! Let me know if you guys have any cute decorations or any shops you go to for your Christmas stuff! See you guys on Sunday!

THE CHRISTMAS TAG

Happy Sunday Everyone! December is here which means Christmas is coming!! I thought I would start this month of with a little tag! The Christmas Tag to be more precise! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I tag all of you lovely people! Leave your answers or blog posts below in the comments! For December I am going to blogging every Sunday and Wednesday ... It's my very own customised Blogmas! Enjoy!

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
It has become a Christmas condition to get Sky Movies at Christmas time! It's amazing because they play all my favourite Christmas Movies! I can't pick just one so I'm gonna cheat a little ... My Top 3!  Jingle All The Way, The Santa Clause and Elf!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
This has to be a trick question ... everyone knows that Santa doesn't drop off the presents until Christmas Eve night! So Christmas morning of course! There's something special about sitting round the tree with your loved ones and opening your presents whilst stuffing your face with chocolate!

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don't think I do ... Every single Christmas always feels like the best! Haha! So all of them ... does that count?

4. Favourite festive food?
Okay so I eat way too much over Christmas and everything I eat I love so I don' t think I can pick one! But specifically for Christmas I would have to say Candy Canes and Mince Pies!

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
I don't think I have a favourite out of the ones I have had, they're all super special to me! However if anyone wants to get me a MacBook Pro ... Top of the list!

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Generally whatever Yankee Candle have around this time of year I love! But you cant beat a bit of apple and cinnamon at Christmas. Also I don't know if this is the same for any of you guys but I love the scent of my tree ... Its artificial but to me when I take out my tree and open up my box of decorations it smells of Christmas!

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Nope! Normally its just a cosy night in and a bit of telly ... oh and maybe a cheeky glass of vino!

8. What tops your tree?

A super glittery star with gems!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

I never really asked for anything crazy at Christmas, I wasn't always the diva I am today! Haha! But on a serious note and quite a cheesy one, Christmas for me isn't about the gifts for me. It's more about spending time with the people you love!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

Ermm EVERYTHING! I love Christmas soo much! But if I had to pick one thing it would be decorating the house! There's nothing more I love than putting up the tree and transforming the living room into a glittery, twinkly Christmas wonderland!

THE URBAN OUTFITTERS HAUL

Happy Sunday Everyone! It was pay day weekend and we all know what that means ... Shopping!! I was doing a bit of christmas shopping and thought I would take a stroll round my local Urban Outfitters! Can I just say how beautiful the store is, it's only just opened up a while ago but I love how attentive they are detail in store. I think the only time I've been to an Urban Outfitters was when I was in London but now we have one in Leicester I find myself popping in for a snoop now and again. I'm not gonna lie, things aren't cheap there but boy are they amazing!! The things I love the most from there is the home items, I could have gone crazy but I stayed strong and only picked up three things! Here's what came with me to the tills!

The first thing I picked up was this Deer Ring Holder, I am in love with antlers at the moment, don't know if this is because of Christmas but I love it! I want to get a stag head for my room ... but my mum thinks its a bad idea, only because she'll get scared! Anyway I have quite a few rings but don't really have anywhere to keep them! I thought this would be really cute to pop on my desk and have somewhere to keep all my rings!

The next thing I picked up was this Skull Candle Holder ... Urban Outfitters have so many skull pieces! And I really want them all! When I was at the till there was a giant ivory skull with gold flowers in the eye sockets ... Sounds weird but it is super cool! I thought I'd start off my collection with a small candle holder. I absolutely love candles at this time of year and Yankee Candles have these Christmas themed tea lights that I could use with this! Match made in heaven!

Speaking of candles the last thing I picked up was a ... candle! I'm a till picker, I'm a real sucker for things that are laid out beautifully near the tills and even worse when they smell amazing. Honestly this candle smells so good that I had to pick one up and I wouldn't be suprised if I went back and picked up some more! It's called Candy Cane and it comes in this really cute tin, which I really like because when you're not using it you can close it and it stops the dust collecting. They have a few other candle scents but this one is my fave!

Let me know if you guys have been to Urban Outfitters recently and if you have what have you bought!! Leave your posts or comments below!

THE L'OREAL FIBROLOGY REVIEW

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope we're all doing well, this week I thought I would do a little review for you guys. Now I might be a little late to jump on the bandwagon with L'oreal Paris' revolutionary Fibrology thickening products but Boots had them on sale and I had just ran out of my current haircare so I though I would pick them up!

My hair has become quite limp and lifeless lately and I've been going into a panic because my hair is also getting thinner ... and so I've been on the hunt for the perfect shampoo and conditioner to bring it back to life! So far I have used the Lee Stafford Hair Growth line and the Caffeine Shampoo from Alpecin both of which I felt were so and so, let me know if you would like a more in depth review of them. Back to Fibrology I have been using it for about two weeks now and I'm a bit 50/50 on it. After a few uses I can feel the thickness in my hair which is amazing ... although it doesn't look too different at the moment but I guess its going to take more than two weeks for that. Another plus is that it smells heavenly! Its a citrusy/sweet scent that lingers in your hair after you've washed which is super good for something you can get quite cheap! Now for the not so good bits ... it's really drying. I don't know about you guys but the conditioner normally moisturises my hair after shampooing but after leaving the shower you can feel that your scalp is quite dry so that's quite a disappointing factor for me. Fortunately I have a way around this, honestly the results of the instant thickness was too good for me to just give up on this product and so I take extra measures to boost the moisture back into my hair! Once I've blow dried my hair I pop some coconut oil in, at the moment I am using one from The Body Shop there's a little review here if you want to have a nose! But in short it is a life saver, it's perfect to add a huge boost of moisture back in to your hair if it's feeling dry. Not only that it leaves it feeling super soft and shiny! Using these products together has made a massive difference to my hair but if I had not have used the coconut oil I don't think I would buy the shampoo and conditioner again because I think it's important to keep your hair healthy. If you guys have tried the Fibrology range leave a comment below with your thoughts I would love to hear your opinions!

THE DUNE PEAVIE

Whats this? A mid-week post! And it's all because something amazing happened this week ... a while ago I uploaded 'The New Bag' and one of my choices was this gorgeous Holdall from Dune called Peavie! Well guess who has one ... yep it's me, courtesy a very special and super amazing friend! Honestly some people might think I'm a bit odd but I was so excited ... like squeeling jumping up and down in a car park excited. #EnoughSaid ... Anyway here are a few photos of me and the bag. First things first *i'm the realest* ... I am in no way a model or think of myself as one but I thought it would be nice for you guys to see someone holding the bag.

The Outside - The bag is a gorgeous dark chocolate leather with brushed metal hardware. The statement part of the bag is the woven front panel which is what really caught my eye when I first spotted it in the St. Pancras Dune store. Layered on top of this is a really cute luggage tag ... don't think I'll use it for its purpose but it looks good! The bag comes with a shoulder strap which you can pop on if you don't want to carry it.

The Inside - The bag is lined inside with a brown fabric, I love how they've used the same colour because it keeps the tone of the bag and keeps it quite sophisticated. Inside is quite basic but spacious which is super good for me, it means I can pop everything I need for the day inside ... let me know if you want me to do a 'What's In My Bag'. There's also a small zipped compartment perfect for little bits that might get lost inside.

So! There you have it! I now have a new bag and believe me I am super happy with it. Next on my agenda is finding a warm winter coat to go with it, let me know if you guys have any suggestions! Big thanks to Rikhil  (click on his name for his Instagram ... he's really good) for taking the photos of me and Sarah for the bag of my dreams!
