THE PLANTUR 39 REVIEW

Happy Sunday Everyone! I have a little bit of exciting news today which I will share at the end ... #suspense! But for today's post I thought I would tell you about a purchase I made a few weeks ago. Now before I picked this up I looked all over the internet for reviews but there was nothing! And so I put it off for a while, but I was in Boots a while back and thought I would take the plunge! The Plantur 39 range is aimed towards women and for hair over fourty but that wasn't going to stop me trying it! If I'm completely honest I don't think its a miracle product for me, but I can't say it doesn't work. My hair has become very brittle over the years, mainly because I used a lot of heat without any heat protection and also a load of products on top ... which obviously didn't help. If you're looking for thickness I would say this isn't something for you but I can say my hair feels fresh afterwards but then again I would expect that from a normal shampoo and conditioner! I'm going to finish what I have and see how I feel before I know whether I'm going to buy it again or not but at this point I wouldn't ... #sadface!

We'll begin with the Shampoo, First of all can I say the packaging is amazing, it has a little clicky thing at the top that opens it up ... I have no idea if that makes sense haha, but it's so easy to use! The shampoo itself is a gel like texture which I haven't really come across before, it lathers up beautifully which is something I always love in a shampoo. I don't know if its just a placebo effect kind of thing but it always feels like it works better? Does anybody else feel the same? Another thing I really like about the shampoo is the scent! It just smells clean, fresh and clean!

The conditioner is a bit weird ... I really don't like the packaging for this, one thing I can't be doing is faffing about when I'm in the shower. I don't mind so much when I'm having a bath but sometimes you're in a rush, you know? The lid on the tube is quite stiff? It might just be mine but I don't get along with it. Something else which feels a bit off is the formula, its very runny? Normally the conditioners I use are quite thick but this feels quite watery so I tend to use more than I should. Although it does leave my hair feeling very soft, so that's a plus!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! If you guys have tried anything from the Plantur range or anything similar, leave a comment below! Now for the news! I tweeted out the other day that this month there will be a new series launching on my blog! Due to a very busy week this has been delayed slightly but only by a few days! So please stay tuned! On the first Friday of every month I will be posting The Insta-Diary! I love how tight the blogging community is and so I thought it would be a nice way to show you guys what I've been upto! It's something I've been thinking about for a while and I really hope you guys will enjoy it! Hope you guys have a lovely week and I will see you next Friday for the very first Insta-Diary!

THE BURT'S BEES WILD CHERRY LIP BALM

Happy Sunday Everyone! Today I'm back with a review on what I feel is an every day essential! Whenever the seasons change my lips seem to go super dry and flaky, I've tried a lot of lip balms before and for ages I used Vaseline and Calmex. Although I used them for a while neither had the results I was looking for. A few years ago one of managers recommended Burt's Bees. Compared to other balms these seemed to be a little more expensive but I can honestly say it is definitely worth the few extra pennies! I've picked up quite a few different ones, Grapefruit being the one I use the most but the other day I was in Boots and I spotted the Wild Cherry Moisturising Lip Balm.

So I've been using this for about a week and a half and as I said earlier, for me lip balm is an everyday essential! I have to say I still prefer my Pink Grapefruit Refreshing Lip Balm but I don't regret buying this one. The scent is amazing which is always a plus for me, I mean who doesn't love a good smelling lip product? Also I like how the balm is transparent, I think the first one I ever bought was the Pomegranate one and it left a hint of colour on my lips, kind of a 'your lips but better', It's doesn't have a lot of colour pay off, just a sheer tint. After a few uses I can say the balm is definitely moisturising and you can feel the difference after a few days. I found the lip balm to be quite glossy and it doesn't instantly sink into your lips, so if I'm heading out I'll blot it a little with a bit of tissue. Just enough to take away the shine but making sure you're not removing the balm itself. You can also use it as an overnight treatment which I think works really well, I tend to use a Lush Lip Scrub to remove any dead skin and then pop on a good amount of the Lip Balm! By the morning my lips feel super smooth and hydrated!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little read! Let me know if you want a review on any other lip products, I'm always on the hunt for new things to try out, just leave a comment below and I''ll do my best for you! Hope you lovely people have a beautiful week!

THE TOPMAN MESH CAPE

Happy Sunday Everyone! If you guys follow me on Twitter ... @primalmajithia ... you would have seen that I tweeted Topman about one of their capes, The mesh cape! I saw it a while ago but like always I saw something I wanted and my bank balance didn't agree! And then when payday came around it was out of stock! Don't you just hate it when that happens? Anyway I thought all hope was lost because, well, they didn't even tweet back! They had a lot of other capes available but my heart was really set on this one. And then one magical night I was mooching around the Topman app and ... It was there! Without a second thought I added it to my bag and waited for it to be delivered! I can tell you now it is definitely going to be a summer staple!

I am in love with this beauty, It took a little getting used to because I've never really wore anything like this and I was a little worried about what people would think? But then I wore it with this outfit and ... I felt amazing! I think it is so important to feel good in what you're wearing, much more important than what people have to say. As long as you feel good in what you're wearing it's going to show from within you! I'm wearing my black ripped jeans that featured in 'The Burton Denim Haul', an oversized plain white tee from Asos and on top the all important cape! I've put some close up shots below of the outfit.

I've looked since buying the cape and it looks like its out of stock again! But I'll leave links to everything else below! Hope you guys enjoyed this post, I always feel a little odd when I put up pictures of myself but as I said I felt good and I wanted to share it with you guys! I love fashion and so I want to start doing some more outfit posts, let me know what you guys think?!

THE YANKEE CANDLE - ALOE WATER

Happy Easter Sunday Everyone! I'll be at work when this goes up but I hope everyone has an amazing day filled with lots of love ... and chocolate, of course! Haha! As spring has now arrived I wanted to get some candles that had a fresher spring-like scent. I have a few candles left over from Winter but they all have quite a heavy scent. I read online that Yankee had released their Spring collection and quite a few caught my eye! Today I thought I would tell you about the Aloe Water candle I picked up. The first thing I want to say is how gorgeous the colour of the wax is! It's a beautiful soft pastel green, my room is mainly white and grey with some mixed metal accessories and so I can add little pops of colour and generally most colours go really well with the rest of my room! But I just think the green feels so fresh and bright. As the name suggests the candle has pure and natural extracts of Aloe Vera, I've never had the chance to smell the actual plant so I was a little unsure as to what the scent would be like, but honestly it smells amazing! I can't really describe the scent other than saying it smells super clean and fresh? Which I know sounds weird but it was exactly what I was looking for so I had to get it! If you guys have a chance to try this I would definitely recommend it, so nice for this time of year!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little post and hope you've had a lovely Easter no matter what you got up to! Let me know if you guys have picked up any candles recently or any from the Yankee Spring collection! I'd love to hear your thoughts! Leave your comments or blog posts below!

THE LUSH HAUL - EASTER EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! As you may well know I have a thing for good smells and one of the most amazing smelling places is Lush! The other week I used my last Lush bath bomb from my last haul and a trip into town was much needed! Last Wednesday, I think it was? Me and my brother took a road trip to Coventry for his university interview and while he was being grilled I took a stroll to the Lush store in Coventry! The first thing I spotted as I walked in was that they had they're new Easter stuff out! And I just couldn't resist ...

The first thing I picked up was the Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb, this little beauty smells like a sweet shop! You get small hints of candy floss and I'm pretty sure I can smell a little bit of Snow Fairy in there! If you didn't know Snow Fairy is a limited edition product that comes out around Christmas time! If you want to know more it featured in my very first post about Lush! 'The Lush Haul' You just pop the egg into your bath and it changes your bath water into a lovely vibrant pink which is amazing!

The next thing I picked up was another Bath Bomb, Hoppity Poppity! How cute is this little guy! I don't think it changes the bath water much? It might just make it milky looking? Or maybe a pale pink because of the eyes and the nose! The bomb has a lovely herbal / floral scent which comes from the Lavender and Violet Leaf! The bomb also has a blast of Lime Oil to help leave your skin feeling soft and revitalised!

I love Lush for how creative they get with their products and the next thing I picked up was for that exact reason! It's the Bunch Of Carrots, Bubble Bar! The lady in the store said you just swirl the bunch around in your bath water and it creates lots of bubbles and changes your bath water orange! How cool!? The Carrots are packed full of oils and so it's amazing for your skin, it has lemon, bergamot, buchu and grapefruit oils! The citrus scent feels so refreshing, plus you can get a few uses out if them too!

Next was the Golden Egg! I was a little unsure about this one because it was super glittery! But since buying it and taking the photos for this post the glitter has kind of rubbed off? Which is good I guess because at least now I won't end up looking like Britney circa Toxic! The bath bomb is packed full of cocoa butter and apparently leaves your skin feeling like caramel, not forgetting the olive, orange and bergamot oils help moisturise your skin! I mean that's amazing right? Once popped into the bath it will start fizzing away and transform the water into a lovely warm yellow-gold!

Last but definitely not least is another egg! But it is absolutely massive! If you read my 'Valentines Lush Haul' you would have seen the 'Love Locket', this has the same concept! You can crack the egg in two and inside there's another bath bomb shaped like a bunny! So you can practically get three baths out of it, which I think is amazing! The bomb has a soft sweet smell which comes from the Vanilla ... I love Vanilla! Like the rest of the collection the bomb has a lot of oils to help keep your skin all lovely and soft!

And there you have it! I can't wait to use all of these! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you've picked anything up from the Easter Collection at Lush! Or even if it's not, leave a comment below! I'd love to hear about what you have and how you got on!

THE SOAP AND GLORY REVIEW - HEEL GENIUS, HAND DREAM, WHIPPED CLEAN

Happy Sunday Everyone! I'm back again with another haul! This week I popped into Boots to pick up the Soap and Glory whipped cream shower butter, I'd seen Essie Button rave about it in her February Favourites and instantly knew I had to try it! But in true Prim style I ended up buying a few more things!

The first thing I picked up was what I actually made the trip into town for! The Whipped Clean Luxe Cream Wash Shower Butter! This stuff is amazing ... like so amazing. The thing I love about Soap and Glory is that it all smells so beautiful. The shower butter has a lovely warm nutty scent. It is packed with Cocoa and Shea Butters, Grapeseed, Almond and Macadamia Nut Oils. It's very different from the Sugar Crush and Orangeasm that I've reviewed before because the scent isn't super sweet, fruity or citrus-y.  I was really excited to use this because I'd heard a lot of good things about this and I agree! It left my skin feeling super soft and can I just mention again how amazing this smells!

I then started having a mooch at the rest of the stuff and saw the Soap and Glory Hand Dream, I normally pick up the Hand Food but I really wanted to try this and one of the reasons oddly enough is the packaging! It's matte! And for some reason I thought it made it look a little bit more expensive than it actually is. The formula of this is a lot thicker than the Hand Food, it's creamier and sinks into your skin really well whereas the Hand Food tends to be a tiny bit stickier and wet. I pick up quite a few hand creams or moisturisers because I hate having dry hands ... it really bugs me! Again like the Shower Butter it has Macadamia Oils and Shea Butter and so smells amazing!

Last but not least is the Soap and Glory Heel Genius, I've not used this as much because ... well if I'm honest I'm lazy but for days when my feet feel a little worse for wear I love putting some of this on! One thing that amazes me and again its quite sad but the creams blue! I don't know why this excites me so much but it does! Unlike the other two things I picked up this doesn't have an amazing scent, it just smells clean? Not that that's a bad thing! I'm going to be completely honest because I don't use this religiously I can't say whether it's an amazing product or not. But I will say when I do use it, it leaves me feet feeling lovely and soft!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you guys have picked anything up from Soap and Glory and how you got on! I'd love to hear if there's anything else that I should get. Leave your comments or blog posts below! Hope you have a lovely week!
