THE ELIZABETH ARDEN EIGHT HOUR CREAM

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I wanted to tell you guys about a beauty product that has been highly raved amongst bloggers for such a long time! Now, I know I'm super late to the party but I've never really had a chance to pick one up before! A few weeks ago I really wan't feeling to great and with the change of weather my skin became quite dry, with dry skin comes dry lips! I always have a Burt's Bees on hand but I needed something a lot stronger, more like a treatment! And so I decided to pick up the Elizabeth Arden, Eight Hour Cream!

The only negative I have about the product is the smell ... I'm really not a fan. There's nothing really that I can relate it to and help describe it, it just smells really strong haha! Other than that I have nothing but amazing things to say about this beauty! A little goes a long way with and so I tend to use a small pea sized amount over my lips using a cotton bud to help layer the product on evenly. The cream doesn't sink in straight away so I prefer to use it as an overnight treatment if I really want to give my lips some TLC! Or ... I'll pop some on whilst I'm doing my face in the morning to give my lips a quick boost of hydration and then I'll just take it off before I leave the house. I know this stuff works ... It's worked on me a number of times but it's doesn't have an instant effect, for me personally it's about two to three uses before I can see a difference! And I think it works better as an overnight treatment unless you have time in the day to keep it on for a few hours. The Eight Hour Cream has pride of place on my beauty desk and I'm sure it'll have it's place for years to come! THE SECRET SCENT BOX - MARCH EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! I am so super excited for this weeks post, about a week ago a small box was put through my letter box and I was so happy when I opened it! But if I'm honest I find the process of looking for a new scent quite mundane ... all of the options available can sometimes get a bit overwhelming and I tend to reach for the scents I've used before. I'm not adventurous at all really! But that's all about to change!

For my first box I got three amazing scents, all beautifully packages in a textured black box! Inside there's a beautiful card to detail which months edition you're on and also three note cards that detail the scents featured in the box! I think the cards are perfect, especially when you need a scent for a certain time of day or occasion because they clearly explain the notes and even a little blurb about the scent! I'm gonna start with the "Ted Baker - M' scent, the card describes the scent as a fresh fragrance with a spicy blend of black pepper, amber, vetiver and musk! Oh my this stuff smells so nice! It smells manly ... obviously but you know what I mean haha! The musk in the top notes really gives it an edge but it still remains quite fresh and vibrant with the more 'green' notes of Coriander, Fir Resin and Guaiac Wood! Everyone has tried Paco Rabanne's - Million and I don't blame you it had quickly became a favourite of mine after I was gifted one for Christmas! Well they're back with an even better one, '1 Million Prive'! This has a much more intimate and warm feel and I can definitely see this becoming the evening fragrance of choice! Last but not least is 'Lacoste L.12.12 Noir' ... a weird name I know but this one I think is my favourite out of the box! I took this into work the other day and it smells amazing! Just like the card describes it smells like a warm summer evening! I think the reason this has become my favourite is the top note of watermelon! It smells so fruity and fresh but still has a 'sporty' edge, I'm not sure where that comes from in terms of the notes but I love it! With notes of Dark Chocolate and French Lavender I think this is going to be a scent for any time of the day! I can honestly say that I am so happy with the box and I would honestly recommend it, whether as a gift or a little treat for you ... do it! THE LUSH LEICESTER EASTER EVENT

Happy Friday Everyone! I was invited to go to a Lush Event and I just had to tell you guys about it! I got a message via Instagram on Tuesday asking me to go and I said yes ... like literally in seconds! I mean of course I did ... wouldn't you? Haha! The event was set up to showcase some of the new bits that were launching for Easter! Now, you guys know I love Lush ... like a lot! There's always a haul going up every now and then and if there's one thing I love about Lush is when they release a specific collection! I was so happy that a lot of my favourites were back again but also super excited to see all of the new stuff that made their way into this years collection!

I actually got to take a plus one with me and I took my bestie T! She has actually just started a blog of her own, 'Beuatè D'amour'! I would love it if you guys would head over and check her out! She writes about all things beauty and is actually my very own skincare guru! T and I met up in town and we got there a little early and so we decided to head to Tiger and Paperchase! T wanted a few bits for her blog images and I swear Tiger have some of the most amazing bits and bobs for flatlays! We then decided to have a quick bite before the event, we went around a few places and somehow ended up in McDonalds! I've not had a McDonalds in ages ... it was beautiful! It was then time to head over to Lush for the event! There were a lot of people stood outside waiting and it wasn't long before we were invited in! We had a quick meet and greet with the lovely people in the store and we even got out very own lanyard ... which I will honestly treasure forever! We were then able to have a wander around the store and have a look at all the amazing bits from the new Easter collection!

Whilst we were all still grouped together we were told about all of the amazing activities that we would be able to take part in, one of which was an easter egg hunt ... the one that found the most eggs would win a prize! Any guesses at what me and T did first? Yep! We looked all around the store for the eggs! We did in fact find 5 which put us in joint place as winners! As a prize the lovely people at Lush gave us one of their gift boxes at the end of the night. As the event was limited to only a few people we had a lot more time looking at all of the amazing bits that had launched for the easter range! I think I'll start with the bits that have thankfully made a return to the range and this one is my favourite ... and I think a lot of other people love this one too! It's the Golden Egg! Although the glitter gets absolutely everywhere, the cocoa butter in this bath bomb melt leaves your skin feeling so nourished and moisturised! Another oldie is the Bunch of Carrots! These reusable bubble bars are packed with all sorts of oils! Simply run them under your tap and you will have all the bubbles you will ever need ... not to mention how cute they look! Speaking of cute lets move on to one of the new bits in the range ... Chick 'n' Mix! This bath bomb is actually a crazy 3 bath bombs in one! You have the outer shell which comes in two pieces and then inside the egg is a gorgeous little chick! For £6.95 I think this is amazing value for money! Sicilian Lemon seems to be the theme scent to the Easter range this year and the Which Came First bath bomb follows suit! Like the Chick 'n' Mix this bath bomb also has a little surprise! Once the outer shell fizzes away there's a little chick inside ... adorable! There's many more goodies in the range including soaps and a new lip scrub! Once we had a good play around with some of the bath bombs and a few chit chats with the lovely people in store we were asked to head upstairs! There was a beautiful wooden table with a few mixing bowls and ingredients ... I actually went live on Instagram during this activity and a friend of mine thought we were baking, haha! I don't blame her it did look like that, but no we weren't going to be baking but making some of our very own lush products! I was so super excited! We started off my baking a Butterball bath bomb and then a Creamy Candy bubble bar before making our very own Cupcake face mask! I mean how many people can say they handmade their very own Lush goodies!? It's an experience that I'll remember forever! We then had a photo op, something that neither T or I would turn down easily haha! We took it on an polaroid camera with the help of one of the assistants in store, we got to take the polaroid home ... it's so cute! We then headed back downstairs to pay for the goodies that we had picked up and before we knew it ... it was the end of the night! With this being my first blogger event I was super nervous but I have to say the other bloggers there were so nice and friendly and since the event they have been so welcoming! I've been blogging for a few years but never had a chance to meet any other bloggers in Leicester ... I can happily say that the ones I have met so far are fabulous! Thank you again to Lush Leicester for having T and I, we honestly had such an amazing time and I'm sure I'll see some of you again on my next visit into the store! THE FISH SOHO REVIEW

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's been a bit quiet on my blog over the last two weeks but I have a good explanation! It was my Birthday! ... On February 20th I turned 25! I had quite a bit going on over the last two weekends and so I didn't have the time to write anything up for you guys ... sorry! Anyway I'm back on it now and thought I would talk about some amazing goodies I was sent a while ago from the lovely people at Fish Soho! I was lucky enough to have three amazing products sent over and I've been using them ever since!

I have two products from their Platinum collection and one from their Super Fish collection! I'll start off with the Super Fish hairspray, Fish Sticks! Now Fish describe this collection as tough performing line with hardcore hold! And they are so right ... a little goes a long way! With regular hairsprays I tend to use quite a bit to get the hold that I need but with Fish Sticks I need two to three sprays max! One thing that I absolutely love about this product is that it gives you the hold that you need without giving your hair hay-like texture. We've all used a hairspray that makes our hair feel rough and strawy ... but with Fish Sticks I haven't had that issue at all! The other two products are from the Platinum collection, this range has all the benefits of the original collection but with a refined fragrance and a sophisticated edge! The Fish Foam is a mousse with a medium hold and a natural finish, I tend to use a handful and massage it into my roots to add a boost of volume and hold without leaving your feeling dry! Although the product has a fragrance it's in no way overpowering! Last but by no means least is the Plump Fish Thickening Shampoo! I've used this shampoo a couple of times and I have to say I'm quite impressed! A shampoo has to really wow me to have a massive impact on me and although this didn't completely blow me away, I can honestly say I would recommend you try it! The shampoo has hydrolysed wheat protein, date extract and caffeine to help give your hair extra volume and thickness! It lathered beautifully whilst I was massaging it into my scalp and as per the instructions on the back I left it to work it's magic for two minutes before rinsing ... Et voila! THE LUSH HAUL - VALENTINES EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! With Valentines Day just around the corner every single store on the high street is full of lots of lovely treats to buy your other half! I on the other hand have no one to buy for ... so I did what I do best! Buy some treats for myself! I went into Lush the other week for a new shaving cream and got super excited when I saw that their Valentine collection was on display! Strangely enough I didn't actually buy anything from the range last year, there just wasn't anything that called out at me. This year however ... Yes Gawd!

I picked up four bits from the range, the first being something that I did pick up last year and that's the Prince Charming Shower Cream. This stuff smells like sweet heaven! But just the right amount of sweet if that makes sense? I'm one of those that like Snow Fairy, but it can be a little intense for some people, if you like a sweet scent but prefer it to be slightly softer this is definitely something that I would recommend you pick up! The first Bath Bomb I popped into my basket was Cupid! This bath bomb has a super soft sweet undertone with rose, bergamot and violet leaf! The next one I picked up was the Lover Lamp Bath Bomb! This beauty is scented with Vanilla and Brazilian Orange Oil, it's also super good for you skin because it's packed with Cocoa Butter! The bomb will slowly fizz away in your bath water turning it into a milky colour, but the real magic happens when the little hearts break away and float through your bath! Finally I treated myself to the Rose Bombshell which is a rose scented Bath Bomb ... obviously haha! It has yellow rose petals, rose absolute and rose oil! Just like the Lover Lamp this bomb also has a magical surprise! As the outer shell fizzes away your bath is filled with a lovely lemon aroma and rose petals! THE SCENT | LADY GAGA - FAME

Happy Sunday Everyone! Today I thought I would do another post dedicated to one of my favourite scents! Lady Gaga, Fame is a scent that was first released back in 2012 and I had one of the smaller bottles once it was released! I remember the immense hype behind the scent ... the name, the advert, the bottle! If I'm right it's one of the first if not the only black liquid scent! Like everyone else I forgot about this scent and how amazing it was, but a few weeks ago when I was in Sainsbury's I spotted the bottle in the beauty aisles ... we all know what happened next! #StraightInMyBasket!

The crowning glory of this fragrance is definitely the packaging, to me the bottle seems to be inspired by an egg ... remember guys this is GaGa we're talking about here! And the cap is a claw, obviously! I can't tell how you good this looks on my desk with all my other bottle of fragrances. I know it sounds silly because the scent should make the lasting impression when buying a new fragrance but lets be honest, we all spend a few minutes admiring the bottle! Now with this being a scent targeted mainly for women this has a feminine scent for those of you that don't feel comfortable with men wearing a scent targeted for women, I get it. But at the end of the day a scent is a scent! And this guy wants to smell like Fame! #SassAttack! There are three main accords within the formula of the scent - Dark, Sensual and Light. Unlike other scents Fame doesn't utilise top or base notes, instead all notes within the scent work together to create a sweet symphony! The main notes of the fragrance are belladonna, incense, honey, saffron, apricot and tiger orchid ... which all sound so luxurious! I'm not very good at describing scents but I'll give it a try anyway! For me the fragrance is definitely an evening scent and is quite rich. There's definitely an essence of fruit in the mix but its quite dark ... told you I wasn't very good haha! THE CHAMPNEYS REVIEW - CLOUD 9 INDULGENT AND DETOX CANDLE

Happy Sunday Everyone! Candles have been all over my house recently, something about Winter just means candles, you get it right? I've been burning the candles I picked up from The Body Shop but there's not much left and so I was digging through my Christmas goodies to look for a Champneys Candle Set that I was given for Christmas!

I've never used a candle from Champneys before and so I'm quite excited to start burning them! I've tried a few hand creams and things but haven't really gone ham when going through the Champneys aisle in Boots! But that's why I love Christmas so much! You get things that you normally wouldn't pick up, I love it! The set comes with two beautiful candles in white jars with some cute quotes, I'm already thinking about what I can do with the jars once they've burnt through! Haha! The first of the candles has a teal font with the quote 'as Good as New' and the scent of the candle is called 'Detox'. Now I looked everywhere and I couldn't actually find a description of the scent, so I'm gonna have to wing it! I would describe the scent to have a herbal base but also spicy? I can imagine being in a spa and using a scrub with this scent ... it kind of smells gritty? I'm bad at describing scents! I do think however the scent in the jar is a bit overwhelming? But I feel like it would smell so nice once it's lit and it's in the air!? Haha! The second of the duo has a purple colour way with the quota as 'a Well Earned treat' and a treat it sure is! The scent Cloud 9 Indulgence is a lot softer, like a lotion almost but in candle form! It has a subtle floral note but isn't sweet in any way! And whereas Detox to me is more of a bathroom scent this one is going to take pride of place in my room! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! See you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!
