THE GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

Happy Sunday Everyone! When this post goes up I'll be waking up in London after an amazing day in Brighton ... that's the plan anyway! I mentioned in last weeks post that I've been using the Micellar Cleansing Water in my daily routine. It's been a while since I've used this stuff and now that it's back in my life I don't want to let it go! I first bought the micellar water last year and it actually featured on 'The Bathroom Shelf' and once I had ran out I moved on to the next thing I could find but in all honesty I haven't loved any of them as much as I love this stuff! Now don't get me wrong this stuff doesn't work miracles but it does what you want it to! I tend to use the water every night, I pour a good amount onto a cotton pad and use it all over my face to take off all the dirt that gathers on my face throughout the day. You can use any pad you like but I like using the Boots Cotton Wool Double Faced Oval Pads ... my that's a long name! It has two sides, as the name suggests, one like a conventional cotton pad and the other a more durable texture. I use the softer side around my eyes and then the stiffer side around my jawline, mainly because the soft side starts to wear away and leaves little fluffy bits on my skin haha! I think the main thing I love about the water is that it's quite soothing, it doesn't irritate my skin and there's practically no fragrance. Although I mainly use this in the evenings before bed, if I ever wake up and feel a little groggy I'll reach for this stuff! It just leave your skin feeling super clean and refreshed! I also need to mention that it requires no rinsing, which I love! After you use the water there's little to no residue, you literally cannot feel it on your skin. I hate products that linger, unless they're meant to of course! Basically I have nothing but good words to say, I love the packaging, I love the formula and I love the price! I got mine from Boots and it was on offer for only £3.33 for 400ml! If you're looking for a new cleanser and you're a fan of bioderma this is an amazing dupe.

THE M.A.C VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I'm telling you guys all about a skincare purchase ... from M.A.C! Now I don't know if it's just me but I've never really thought of going to M.A.C for skincare, in all honesty it's not something I even thought they did? But night one of my besties at work was telling me about her skincare routine and she said that she would never think of using another exfoliator now that she has this one in her life. As soon as she said that I knew that I needed it, Tara really knows her stuff when it comes to beauty and skincare so I knew I could trust her opinion.

The packaging and the product itself is beautiful, anything monochrome is a win for me so you can imagine how excited I was! It comes in a silver and white glittery box which compliments the black glittery exfoliant inside the tube! I read a few reviews online and it seemed to get a lot of hate but after hearing what Tara thought of it I decided to take the plunge! I've used the product a few times now and the more I use the more I fall in love with it. I've never really used a specific facial exfoliator before but now I don't know what I'd do without one. My skin was going through a really rough stage recently, it was dry and groggy, no matter what I did I couldn't revive my skin and I was starting to get really annoyed. The exfoliator has a blend of volcanic ash and fine sugar crystals, I have to say it has quite an abrasive texture and for some people it may be a little too harsh. Tara told me that she pops a little into her palm and then adds a few drops of water to turn it into a paste, this is definitely the best way to apply it. The consistency of the exfoliant is super thick and unless you water it down I can imagine it being very tough to work in and could become quite harsh for the skin. I tend to work it in using circular motions until the sugar crystals start to break down, I then use some warm water to break down the remaining crystals finishing with a final rinse! Oh, and I should also mention that although the ash makes the colour jet black it will not stain your skin! When I used it the first time that was one of my main worries haha! After rinsing the remainder of the product off I pat my face dry with a towel and voila! It leave your skin feeling super soft and refreshed. It also leaves your skin feeling clean and adds instant moisture, and that's not something I normally find with exfoliators. They normally leave my skin feeling stripped of its moisture and there's almost a pulling / tightness in the skin. This beauty has become a definite staple on my bathroom shelf, I would recommend using this once a week, I tend to use it in the evening after using the micellar cleansing water from Garnier. The only thing I don't like about it is the packaging, as beautiful as it is I imagine once you start getting to the end of the tube you'd have to cut the top off to make sure you use it all! At £22 a tube I know I want to use every last bit!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this post! Let me know if you've used any skincare from M.A.C, is there something else that I need from the range! I'd love to hear what you recommend!

THE FOOD DIARY - THE COSY CLUB

Happy Sunday Everyone! Welcome to a very new kind of post, it's my very first food review and I thought it was only right to start a little series for it. I don't think I'll be doing these regularly and there won't be a schedule, instead if I'm going somewhere nice and I want to share it with you I'll post another entry in The Food Diary! This week me and a few friends planned to go out for some breakfast ... however as always things were running a little late and it became brunch! The Cosy Club opened in Leicester a while ago but I've never had the chance to pop in. But I heard some amazing things and thought it was worth a shot!

I think we went around the perfect time, it was just before the big lunch rush but there were still enough people for a good atmosphere. The actual building where the Cosy Club is now used to be a knitwear factory and the way they have retained the original feel of the building is amazing! I love how they have combined the very hard and harsh structure of the building with the very warm and comforting decor! I want my house to look like that, it was gorgeous! As I was looking at the menu I was a teeny bit overwhelmed at the amount of different choices the had! I was stuck between the breakfast option and a halloumi panini ... I went for the panini, it sounded way too good to turn away! Although one of my friends did get the breakfast and it looked amazing! Along with some table water I also ordered a cooling lemonade, now I love lemonade and I've tried quite a few variations but this was just on another level! It was gorgeous, super refreshing and lets face it ... it looks amazing too! You could really taste the mint that was infused with the lemonade as well as hints of cucumber. The moment that we were all waiting for however was the all important food, and I was not disappointed! I'm a a massive sucker for presentation and the cosy club surpassed all of my expectations. I ordered a standard plate of a panini and chips and they even made that look good! And can I just say it taste's as good as it looks! The panini I chose was packed with flavour with grilled halloumi, sun-dried tomato, red pepper chutney with hummus and spinach! I had my doubts because I don't like hummus or spinach and I was so close to asking the waiter not to put any in but I'm so glad I didn't! It all worked so well together! As we cleaned our plates we decided to have a look at the dessert menu, I'm not going to lie at this point we were stuffed but I have a sweet tooth and so I had to have a little peek! In the end we decided to walk off our food with a little bit of shopping and then headed to Gelato Village, but when I go back and visit the Cosy Club again I will most definitely be trying the creme brulee with white chocolate and fresh raspberries or the salted caramel cheesecake!

When you've heard a lot of good things about a particular place the last thing you want is to walk away disappointed and I can honestly say I was so happy we chose to go there in the end. I don't think I have one bad word to say about the place, I loved everything from the decor to how helpful and polite the staff were, hell I even loved how they've done the toilets! If you're in Leicester or near a Cosy Club I would definitely say it's worth a visit, even if it's for just a drink! I hope you guys have enjoyed this post, I know it's something different but I had a lot of fun writing it up and I got to eat some lovely food whilst I was at it too! Haha! I have left the Cosy Clubs website below if you wanted to check it out! I hope you guys have a lovely week and I'll be back next Sunday as always!

THE LEE STAFFORD REVIEW - HAIR GROWTH

Happy Sunday Everyone! If you guys have been reading my blog for a while you'll know I love a good hair care review! And this Sunday I've got just that for you! I've used quite a few brands and ranges in the past to help thicken my hair and it's finally starting to get to thickness I want. However the other day I was googling new hairstyles, as you do, and found that longer hair is a big thing at the moment. Now don't run away with your thoughts I don't a mop on my head, but I do want a little more length. I've always had relatively short hair because of the way I used to style my hair up. But now that I'm wearing it down I want to grow it out a little and go for a more old school quiff kinda feel? I'm thinking a mix between David Beckhams quiff and Zayn Malik circa early 2015 but a lot shorter! But as you may know I am incredibly impatient so I went on the hunt for something to help push things along a little and came across Lee Stafford!

I'm sure I've tried this range before many moons ago and I was just as in love with it back then as I am now! I've been using the Hair Growth range for about a couple of weeks I think and my hair has definitely got some length to it, the longest part of my hair just skims past my eyes. The last time I ct my hair there was a blend of length from the crown to my fringe, so at the moment it's a little uneven and I'm kind of waiting for the rest of my hair to catch up with the front section! It;s getting there though! I'm not a massive fan of the scent, on the back of the bottles they mention how beautiful your hair will smell, unfortunately for me I just think it smells of chemicals. Normally that would be enough to put me off but this stuff works, so I'm not giving up just yet! The range comes with a Shampoo and a Conditioner, I think the last time I used it I had the Hair Growth Treatment that you can use in the shower as well as or instead of the conditioner but this time I decided to pick up the leave in treatment. Once I've washed my hair I normally take most of the moisture out with a towel and then spray some of the treatment all over, I then work it in with my fingers, It does suggest to use a comb but your hair is super brittle and quite sensitive when it's wet so I try not to use a comb. You can then either to leave it to air dry or use a hairdryer. If I have time I'll leave it to dry if not I'll attack my hair with the hairdryer haha! I have to say it takes so much time and effort to use a hairdryer with this stuff! Be warned it does not dry easily. I've also noticed in the first half hour once it's dried you can definitely feel the product which can sometimes be annoying, especially for me because it means my hair doesn't sit right. Don't worry it does go away after a while and then your just feels like normal! All in all I'm very happy with this range! My hair feels clean, it doesn't irritate or dry out my scalp and it does what it says on the bottle!

Hope you guys found this review helpful! Feel free to check out any of my other hair care reviews and let me know if you have tried any of them in the comments! I'd love to hear your thoughts. As always I will be back next Sunday for another post!

THE TOMMY HILFIGER GLASSES

Happy Sunday Everyone! So quite a while ago I posted 'The New Glasses' ... seven months since uploading that post I have finally got round to getting some new glasses! I had to have an opticians appointment first of all which was the boring part of my day however I then got to do some shopping! I picked up about three pairs, I knew what I wanted but I couldn't find it which made choosing a new pair of glasses so much harder. However after about an hour in Specsavers and making the poor assistant run round to try and help me find the perfect pair I bought these!

After temporarily fixing my glasses with a bit of old super glue I managed to get a few more weeks worth of wear out of them, but not too long after they broke again! I always have contact lenses lying around so don't worry, I didn't spend the last few weeks walking around blind! Since I've been wearing glasses for a few years I hated not having them on. I really think that the glasses help frame my face and in all honesty I thought they made my face look a little less chubby? It must be in my head because so many people at work had been saying how good I look without them on! But I still felt quite self conscience and so a trip to the opticians was well in need! If you follow me on Instagram i'm sure you'll see a selfie pop up in the next few days! I love them, they're a little less out there than my last pair of Gok Wan specs but they're still big and bold, what more could I ask for! At full price they were £125 but I have a monthly contact lens plan with Specsavers and so I get one free / discounted pair a year! Because mine were designer I got a discount on them and I only paid £45! What a bargain! I know it sounds weird but I want to start a collection of glasses? I want to be able to change things up if I want and have a few different styles to pick from! Since my last pair were round I really want to find a more retro pair. When I picked up my new glasses I actually got a 50% voucher so I'm sure i'll be going back after payday comes round again!

Let me know what you guys think of my new glasses! Do any of you guys wear glasses? If so what kind of styles do you like and where do you get them from? I'd love to hear from you!
