THE LUSH HAUL - EASTER EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! As you may well know I have a thing for good smells and one of the most amazing smelling places is Lush! The other week I used my last Lush bath bomb from my last haul and a trip into town was much needed! Last Wednesday, I think it was? Me and my brother took a road trip to Coventry for his university interview and while he was being grilled I took a stroll to the Lush store in Coventry! The first thing I spotted as I walked in was that they had they're new Easter stuff out! And I just couldn't resist ...

The first thing I picked up was the Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb, this little beauty smells like a sweet shop! You get small hints of candy floss and I'm pretty sure I can smell a little bit of Snow Fairy in there! If you didn't know Snow Fairy is a limited edition product that comes out around Christmas time! If you want to know more it featured in my very first post about Lush! 'The Lush Haul' You just pop the egg into your bath and it changes your bath water into a lovely vibrant pink which is amazing!

The next thing I picked up was another Bath Bomb, Hoppity Poppity! How cute is this little guy! I don't think it changes the bath water much? It might just make it milky looking? Or maybe a pale pink because of the eyes and the nose! The bomb has a lovely herbal / floral scent which comes from the Lavender and Violet Leaf! The bomb also has a blast of Lime Oil to help leave your skin feeling soft and revitalised!

I love Lush for how creative they get with their products and the next thing I picked up was for that exact reason! It's the Bunch Of Carrots, Bubble Bar! The lady in the store said you just swirl the bunch around in your bath water and it creates lots of bubbles and changes your bath water orange! How cool!? The Carrots are packed full of oils and so it's amazing for your skin, it has lemon, bergamot, buchu and grapefruit oils! The citrus scent feels so refreshing, plus you can get a few uses out if them too!

Next was the Golden Egg! I was a little unsure about this one because it was super glittery! But since buying it and taking the photos for this post the glitter has kind of rubbed off? Which is good I guess because at least now I won't end up looking like Britney circa Toxic! The bath bomb is packed full of cocoa butter and apparently leaves your skin feeling like caramel, not forgetting the olive, orange and bergamot oils help moisturise your skin! I mean that's amazing right? Once popped into the bath it will start fizzing away and transform the water into a lovely warm yellow-gold!

Last but definitely not least is another egg! But it is absolutely massive! If you read my 'Valentines Lush Haul' you would have seen the 'Love Locket', this has the same concept! You can crack the egg in two and inside there's another bath bomb shaped like a bunny! So you can practically get three baths out of it, which I think is amazing! The bomb has a soft sweet smell which comes from the Vanilla ... I love Vanilla! Like the rest of the collection the bomb has a lot of oils to help keep your skin all lovely and soft!

And there you have it! I can't wait to use all of these! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you've picked anything up from the Easter Collection at Lush! Or even if it's not, leave a comment below! I'd love to hear about what you have and how you got on!

THE SOAP AND GLORY REVIEW - HEEL GENIUS, HAND DREAM, WHIPPED CLEAN

Happy Sunday Everyone! I'm back again with another haul! This week I popped into Boots to pick up the Soap and Glory whipped cream shower butter, I'd seen Essie Button rave about it in her February Favourites and instantly knew I had to try it! But in true Prim style I ended up buying a few more things!

The first thing I picked up was what I actually made the trip into town for! The Whipped Clean Luxe Cream Wash Shower Butter! This stuff is amazing ... like so amazing. The thing I love about Soap and Glory is that it all smells so beautiful. The shower butter has a lovely warm nutty scent. It is packed with Cocoa and Shea Butters, Grapeseed, Almond and Macadamia Nut Oils. It's very different from the Sugar Crush and Orangeasm that I've reviewed before because the scent isn't super sweet, fruity or citrus-y.  I was really excited to use this because I'd heard a lot of good things about this and I agree! It left my skin feeling super soft and can I just mention again how amazing this smells!

I then started having a mooch at the rest of the stuff and saw the Soap and Glory Hand Dream, I normally pick up the Hand Food but I really wanted to try this and one of the reasons oddly enough is the packaging! It's matte! And for some reason I thought it made it look a little bit more expensive than it actually is. The formula of this is a lot thicker than the Hand Food, it's creamier and sinks into your skin really well whereas the Hand Food tends to be a tiny bit stickier and wet. I pick up quite a few hand creams or moisturisers because I hate having dry hands ... it really bugs me! Again like the Shower Butter it has Macadamia Oils and Shea Butter and so smells amazing!

Last but not least is the Soap and Glory Heel Genius, I've not used this as much because ... well if I'm honest I'm lazy but for days when my feet feel a little worse for wear I love putting some of this on! One thing that amazes me and again its quite sad but the creams blue! I don't know why this excites me so much but it does! Unlike the other two things I picked up this doesn't have an amazing scent, it just smells clean? Not that that's a bad thing! I'm going to be completely honest because I don't use this religiously I can't say whether it's an amazing product or not. But I will say when I do use it, it leaves me feet feeling lovely and soft!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you guys have picked anything up from Soap and Glory and how you got on! I'd love to hear if there's anything else that I should get. Leave your comments or blog posts below! Hope you have a lovely week!

THE BURTON DENIM HAUL

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you've all had a lovely week, I'm back today with another Burton Haul. Specifically a denim haul! If you haven't read my first Burton Haul you can click *here* and have a read. Back to today, Burton recently had an offer on their Jeans. I think it was 2 pairs for £45 which is amazing because I think Jeans are quite expensive! ! And so I went a little cray ...

p.s this photo took me forever and a day to edit ...

In total I picked up five pairs, I wanted because as I mentioned there was a deal on! But I could only find five that I really liked. They were all a in the 'Stretch Skinny' fabric/range that Burton do. I find that these are the best fit for me. I'm not the skinniest person out there and so most jeans in my size seem to be straight legged or boot-cut. But I don't think they do any favours to my size. Here's what I added to my basket!

Dark Wash Skinny Jeans - The first of the five are these Dark Washed Jeans, I've not had a pair of blue jeans in like forever. I went through a Grey phase for a while and most of Jeans were always a variation of a Grey wash! I'm quite happy with these, I'm still figuring out what to wear them with but I'm sure I'll think of something!

Washed Black Skinny Jeans - So these look super grey in the picture but they are a Washed Black ... I promise! I love these Jeans. They fit amazingly I think they're my favourite out of all of them! Because of the colour they go really well with nearly everything in my wardrobe!

Black Rip-Knee Skinny Jeans - Okay, so Jeans with a ripped knee have been everywhere recently ... like everywhere! And I really wanted a pair but at first they were really hard to find in my size #sadface but then Burton came to the rescue! I was so happy with them that I bought two!

Bright Blue Vintage Skinny Jeans - These are probably the ones that I'm least sure about, they're a really vibrant blue and as I said I haven't had blue Jeans in ages let alone bright blue ones! But I think they'd be really good for the summer with some white trainers and a white tee!

Washed Black Rip-Knee Skinny Jeans - Last but not least is the second pair of ripped skinny's that I got! And as you can probably guess I'm super excited about these! Like the second pair they show up quite grey in the picture but they're acctually an acid-y washed black! These go super well with a lot of my wardrobe and work really well if I want to add an edge to any of my outfits!

Hope you guys enjoyed this haul ... because ... well I certainly am enjoying what I bought! Haha! Let me know if you guys have picked up any denim recently! Also let me know which ones are your favourites or how you would style them! Leave your comments below and I shall be back next week!

THE NIOXIN HAIR SYSTEM REVIEW

Happy Sunday Everyone! A few months ago I introduced you guys to 'The Nioxin Hair System Kit' and I today I'm doing a little review. Its been around three months since I picked it up and I recently finished the kit. Now generally I only blog about things that I've used and loved, if it's something I've picked up and didn't like I wouldn't write about it. But in the post I said I'd let you guys know how I get on ... so here goes!

Now if you guys read the original post you would have noticed that there is a third product which is a 'Scalp Treatment' but I think I threw that away after it finished ... #awkward! Back to the review! So the treatment was recommended to me by my hair stylist because I was looking for something that would bring life and lustre back to my hair and she said that this might be something that could work? It was quite expensive , well I think so anyway, Its was £40 odd pounds for the kit and so I kind of expected it to work miracles. Oh was I proven wrong! I was told that I need to allow at least six months to see a difference but my scalp just did not agree with this stuff! It made my scalp super dry and quite flaky ... gross I know but I'm being honest! I used this stuff religiously and to be fair it did feel like it was working. I think there's mint or something in the formula and it tingles your scalp but that's about it? Unfortunately this product really didn't wow me ... I know I haven't used it for the full six months but I'm a little impatient and ideally I want something that works a little quicker or at least start showing signs of improvement by this stage? I do want to say however that this is what I personally thought of the treatment, it may work wonders for someone out there but for me ... not so much! Since the bottles are empty I needed some more hair care and so I went out picked up some more L'Oreal Fibrology Shampoo and Conditioner which I also did a review on a while ago, you can click *here* to head over and have a peek! I much prefer this stuff, it's much cheaper and there's a visible difference!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little review! Let me know if you guys have used Nioxin before I would love to know how you guys got on with the treatment. Or let me know if there's anything out there that you guys would recommend to help bring the life and thickness back to my hair! Leave your comments or blog posts below!

THE BIRTHDAY PAMPER SESSION

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I'm giving you guys the low down on my annual pamper session! Now I actually have a few pamper sessions but this one always seems a little bit more special because I always do it a few days before my Birthday! I've been doing this for a few years now and it's become a bit of a tradition for me! So I'm gonna take you through the steps I follow and also the products I like to use!

So! The pamper session begins with a face scrub and a good old steam! This year I used my Bulldog Original Face Scrub which featured in 'The Skincare Review - Bulldog' In previous years I've used the Grapefruit scrub from Neutrogena which leaves your face feeling super refreshed and awake! I applied the scrub quite liberally over my face, normally I would leave it on for a few minutes and wash off with a warm muslin cloth. However every now and then I like to have a steam whilst the scrub is still on! Steaming is really good for your skin as it can help unclog pores and also remove blackheads. I steamed for a round 10 minutes and then used a muslin cloth to remove the scrub. At this point there was a visible difference in my skin and it felt super smooth! You could stop here and apply some moisturiser or what I like to do is to pop on a Lush Face Mask! I've tried a few face masks but my all time favourite is Love Lettuce! It just leaves my skin feeling rejuvenated and clean! Once I've applied the mask I run myself a lovely warm bath ... I mean what is a pamper session without a bath! This year I picked up an Avobath! If you haven't visited Lush you need to go and take a good whiff of this bath bomb! Oh my it smells good! The bomb is packed with Olive Oil, Lemongrass, Bergamot Oils and most importantly mashed Avocado! I love how soft and nourished this leaves your skin, it's really good if you have problems with dry skin. The bomb transforms the water into a lovely shimmering green! If a want to have a little something extra I like to use the Prince Charming shower gel which was included in 'The Lush Haul - Valentine Edition'. I usually take my mask off in the bath because it's less messy? Another thing I love about Love Lettuce is that it has almond shells in the formula. so I like to wash it off in circular motions and this way you're exfoliating your skin at the same time! By this point my skin feels like heaven! The final step but I think the most important step is to make sure you lock in the softness and radiance with a good moisturiser! I've been loving the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Moisture Cream which featured in 'The Bathroom Shelf'.

Whether it's a special occasion or not, sometimes you need a good pamper session to relax and unwind! Let me know what you guys like to do when you want to pamper yourself! Leave your comments or blog posts below! I'd love to have a read! Hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'll be back again on Sunday with another post!
