THE LUSH HAUL - HALLOWEEN EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! The end of this week will bring round Halloween and it's a time of year I absolutely love! If you know me even slightly, there is nothing I love more than Autumn. Not only does it mean Halloween is here but it also means that I can wrap up warm with layers ... I mean who doesn't love Autumn fashion? But also the countdown to Christmas begins! Back to reality though, another reason I love this time of year is that you can have a nice hot bath in the evening, and where else would I go for some bath-spiration other than Lush! Just a little while ago Lush started promoting this years Halloween range and I knew I had to treat myself to some goodies!

I picked up three out of the four things Lush had released ... which if I'm completely honest about was a little disappointing! I would have thought there would have been a lot more to chose from but never mind there's still Bonfire Night and Christmas to look forward to! The first thing I got my hands on was a bubble bar, Sparkly Pumpkin. This little thing is incredibly glittery but smells amazing so I don't mind as much! It has a lovely warm citrus scent and is packed with juniperberry, lime and grapefruit ... which as you all should know is one of my favourite scents! I then picked up a bath bomb, Lord Of Misrule. Scent wise this is on the other end of the spectrum as its quite earthy and herbal. I'm not normally one for herbal scents but I had a look on the Lush website and I'm just so excited about using this in my bath! As you can see its green on the outside but as it fizzes away in your bath it slowly reveals a gorgeous pink red! The last thing I picked up was also called Lord Of Misrule but it's actually a shower cream! The cream like the bath bomb is full of peppercorn, black pepper and vanilla. I was a little unsure about the black pepper and whatnot but the vanilla stops it from being so harsh ... you won't be sneezing in the shower lets put it that way! Hahaha!

And there you have it! That's what I'll be using in my baths over the next week or so! I have a couple of more Lush Hauls coming soon and I hope you guys are as excited as I am! Let me know if you've tried anything from this years Halloween collection. The one thing I didn't pick up was the Nightwing Shower Jellies so if you've tried that I'd love to know what you thought! Hope you guys have a lovely week and I shall see you next Sunday!

p.s feel free to check out any of my other Lush hauls linked below!

THE HAIR ROUTINE - WAVEY QUIFF

Happy Sunday Everyone! So a while back I uploaded 'The Hair Routine', it was the first time I ever really did anything beauty related but so many of you seemed to love it! I've been wearing my hair the same-ish ever since then until quite recently. As you guys can tell I've been testing out quite a lot of different hair care recently, such as the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Range and also on a trip to Boots I picked up a bottle of Bouffe - Dry Spray!

I was just playing around with my hair, sometimes I find that's when you get the best results and I stumbled across this little do! As always I like to start off with my hair wet, it just means I can work in any product I like to use easily. I tend to use my Lee Stafford Hair Growth Serum first, not only does this help keep my hair healthy but it also adds a little bit of grip. I then use some Elnett Satin Heat Protection to keep my hair safe from heat. Using a pin tail comb I start off blow drying my hair backwards, this will help create the height and volume I want. Once my hair is kind of dry I then like to take a round barrel brush, I use this to brush my hair in circular motions. This technique is also really good for creating volume but personally I tend to use it to help create a wave. I'll do this until my hair is completely dry.. I then take my pin tail comb again and section my hair ready for my Bouffe Dry Spray! This stuff is amazing, I only bought the stuff because I thought it was dry shampoo but it's actually more of a texturising spray. It also gives off some dark brown pigment, this mainly targets re-growth but also would be really good if you have thin hair like me because it gives the illusion of thicker hair. Once the spray is in and dry I then use my fingers to work it in ... now a word of warning, because its so highly pigmented it will transfer onto your fingers! But I look past that because it does wonders for my hair! Because I've basically just messed my hair up whilst working the product in I like to go back over with a comb and if I have some spare time I'll work a little more on creating a wave! To create the wave I usually section my hair at the front in two, create a victory roll style-majig and pin it in using a hair grip, I'll do each one in the opposite direction. Once this has set, I'll again go with the comb, A - to comb out the curl I've made so it's more of a wave and B - to set everything in place. I then use my fingers to get everything to sit right before applying a mist of hairspray!

I really hope you guys enjoyed this post, sorry if it was a little bit rambly! I really enjoyed working on these kind of posts, I don't tend to do tutorials often but I like to do them every now and again to mix things up! I'm super excited to share my posts over the next few weeks, things are going to get autumnal / halloweeny! Hope you guys have a lovely week and I shall see you next Sunday!

THE WEST MIDLAND SAFARI PARK DAY OUT

Happy Sunday Everyone! So ... you may have noticed today's post has gone up a little late! Well that was because I have just got back from an amazing day out for my besties birthday! Me and Sarah decided we were going to take Emma out on a day trip for her birthday and for ages we could not think of something to do that made the little light bulb appear on top of our heads ... If you know what I mean! And then Sarah suggested the west midland safari park, I of course screamed yes straight away! I love animals and the chance to see them up close was something that I was super excited about! The drive down from where we live wasn't too bad, Sarah drove us down and it was a Derulo karaoke session to keep us entertained! Once we got there we quickly grabbed some food before heading down to the safari drive. The safari is basically a long trail that you can drive round in your own car, the animals roam freely and it is honestly one of the most amazing experiences. The safari is sectioned to help keep the animals safe as well as the public. My favourite animals to watch were the Rhinos, Elephants, Zebras and Giraffes! There were also Lions, Tigers and other cats during the safari but they were all napping so we didn't get to see much of them! We didn't get any for our trip but if I was to go back I would so buy some animal food. People would stick their palms through the windows of their cars and the giraffes would pop down and scoop it all up! I mean come on! That's cray right? The entire trail lasted around two hours but our tickets included the theme park and so once we had parked up we walked over to the amusement area of the park! We got to see loads more once we got there, including bats, penguins, reptiles and a sea lion show! At the moment the park is also hosting a dinosaur event and so they had a little section which included various moving dinosaurs! We then made our way to the theme park ... we decided to go on the log flume and the rapids ... three times. I got very wet, every, single, time! FYI the little dryer things they have aren't very good! All in all the day was super amazing! It was such a cool thing to do for a birthday trip out and I'm sure it would work just as well for any other special occasion! I would most definitely love to go back in the future! I've left some photos for you guys to have a peek at!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this little rambly post, It was such a fun experience and I would recommend it for anyone who loves animals! Let me know if you guys have been to the safari park before or anywhere similar! I would love to know what your experience was like! Leave me a comment below and I'll be sure to have a read! Hope you guys have a lovely week and I shall be back next Sunday!
