THE URBAN OUTFITTERS HAUL

Happy Sunday Everyone! I am back again with another haul ... I know, I know but I couldn't help myself! Me and my brothers popped into town yesterday and I 'accidentally' stumbled into Urban Outfitters ... twice. Haha! I do love Urban Outfitters although I do find it hard to find what I'm looking for, everything is a little bit here, there and everywhere! But I guess there's also that amazing tingle you get when you actually find something you want! Well I got the feeling a few times, in two doses! We went in first and I picked up two bits even though I secretly I had my eye on a few other things. My brother tried to control how crazy I went but I managed to talk him round with a little bit of a food bribe haha! So we made our way back into the store and I picked up the rest! Here's what came home with me!

The first thing I picked up was a brand new iPhone case! Like any other blogger in the blogosphere I am obsessed with marble. I saw this case ages ago but it was way before payday and so I didn't end up buying one ... and like always as soon as I had money it was sold out! However I waited it out and look! I have one now. I'm used to a gel case and I've never really been fond of hard cases but I've made an exception for this one because it's beautiful! I then picked up a chain with a white encased stone. If you've seen any of my jewellery hauls you'll know I have a thing for stones and so I had to add this one to my ever growing collection! That was it for round one, we then for a walk around Highcross and grabbed some food before heading back for round two! I saw this copper candle when we first went in and I wanted it ... I've decided that I want to redo my room with everything copper! And this candle is going to start things off! It's just a very simple copper jar with a rose scented wax ... it's smells amazing, it's so warm and cosy feeling! I then picked up a gold, two-tiered chain. This one was one of those 'ooh is this something that's going to work for me' purchases. But I took a risk and got it anyway! It looks really nice on but it's quite tight around the neck so I'm going to get out my handy pliers and adjust the length a little by adding a little more chain on! Next up was a gorgeous jewellery holder! It's a white gloss antler with gold tips! And the thing I love most is that it stands on a grey stone thingy, which means it goes with my room! Now I actually bought a holder in my very first 'Urban Outfitters Haul' but I want to get lots of little trinkets for when I get some bedside tables! The last thing I want to mention is something that I got during another trip to UO but I love it so much that I wanted to tell you guys about it! It's like a dirty gold double ended allen key with a thin piece of gunmetal chain threaded through it ... okay, so that sounded a little odd but it's the only way I can explain it haha! And as I said I love it! I'll leave any links I can find below for you guys!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little post, I love reading about things that people have bought and so I also love sharing what I've bought with all of you lovely people! Let me know if you have bought any goodies from Urban Outfitters recently! Pop a comment below for me! Hope you guys have a lovely week and I shall be back on Friday for another edition of the Insta-Diary!

THE LUSH HAUL - OXFORD STREET EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! How are we all? So a while ago Lush announced that they were going to open a flagship store on Oxford Street ... I know what you're all thinking, what's took me so long! I've been to London a few times since the store first opened but I never had the time to really be able to have a good look at everything and the one time I did, we couldn't find it! This time however we pre-planned and made sure we had enough time to have a look at its amazingness! If any of you have read my blog for a while you'll know there's nothing I love more than a little splurge on Lush goodies to treat myself with and this time was no different ... unless you count how much I spent. Then yes, it was quite different haha!

As you can see from the pictures this place is on another level. With three floors and an in house spa, it's a beauty bloggers dream! I loved how they displayed all of the products, it was all so in key with its surroundings. It was super hipster .. that's probably the best way to describe it haha! It was very different from other Lush stores but it still kept to the Lush brand image that we all know and love. Now letting me loose in Lush is one thing ... but letting me loose in the flagship store is another! I ended up sprinting round the store trying to find the exclusives that they had available. We spent a while at the face mask section and it was between two, in the end I opted for the vibrant blue 'Don't look at me'. Next stop was the hair station, now I've heard a lot about the hair care that Lush has but I've never really tried anything before. However one tub in particular caught my eye and that was a hair mask called Roots. In the next few weeks I'll do some detailed reviews on the few of the things I have bought so that I can let you know how I got on with the things I got. We then decided to bite the bullet and go upstairs .. and oh my was it worth it! It was bath heaven. This is where I was at my wildest, one of the lovely lush ladies showed me round and helped pick out some bath bombs and bubble bars! I can't wait for autumn so I can have lovely warm baths with all my new goodies! I've left some pictures of a few of the things I bought but I'm sure they'll pop up on my Instagram sooner or later!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this post! Let me know if you guys have been the Oxford Street Lush and if you have any current faves from Lush! If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know how much I love Lush and so visiting the flagship store was super fun and I honestly cannot wait until the moment I get to go back ... Sorry bank balance!

p.s feel free to check out any of my other Lush hauls linked below!

THE NEXT FACTOR

Happy Sunday Everyone! Today's post was going to be a Lush Haul but a lot has happened over the weekend and I wanted to share it with you. I thought long and hard about whether to put this up on my blog or not, my day to day job is something I have kept to myself because ... well, I've never really had a reason to tell you guys about it. Although my blog is mainly fashion and beauty I also like to think of it as a bit of a diary, somewhere I can scroll though and remember some of the amazing things I have been a part of. My workplace holds an annual summer party and this year we had an X Factor themed event, an evening where my amazing colleagues had the chance to stand on a stage and sing their hearts out! When the posters were put up I joked about how I was going to audition ... little did I know one of my besties at work had popped the application form through with our names on it!

Now me and Katie are no singers, but that wasn't the point! We were going to get on that stage and have a good time ... and so we decided we would audition with PJ and Duncans - Lets Get Ready To Rumble! Our first run through took place at Abbey Park ... in the rain, because we're professionals like that haha! We thought out costumes and had a routine all planned for the audition ... except we didn't get another chance to have a run through before the audition! I won't say much about the audition but lets just say it was a miracle we got through considering Katie decided to stop singing half way through haha! Nevertheless they saw something in us and we went to the o2 academy for a sound check with the ever amazing Ian and George. After they heard our song choices they decided it was for the best to sing a different song and I couldn't be happier with the song we chose in the end, You're The One That I Want from Grease! We did a quick run through with a piano and it just clicked, we were so happy with how it sounded and we knew we could add our flare with the outfits and it would definitely get everyone singing along! After our run through we then went off to a little balcony area and filmed our promo clip ... it was fantastic! We couldn't stop laughing and just had an amazing time!

The time between the sound check and the day of the show came round so fast, we only managed to squeeze in one rehearsal to plan out our routine, the rest we left for a cheeky bit of car-aoke when we were in the car together haha! I wanted to create a buzz for our act and so I began a countdown to the day of the show and I have to say the support we got from every single one of the lovely people we work with meant so much! ... p.s how funny is the picture of mine and Katies face on Danny and Sandys body haha!

On the day of the show we went back to the o2 and had a dress rehearsal-ish. Everyone was amazing and so talented. I couldn't be prouder of the group of people I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with, it takes a lot to put yourself out there and it's something I feel they should all be proud of! All of the acts seemed to run through their performance without any problems ... step in Young Lovers! First of we had massively misjudged the space we had for our routine and so half of it we had to leave out. And then came the issue with the mics, for some reason as soon as Katie got close to me our mics would screech! As you can imagine that was quite off putting haha! We finished our run through but as we left the stage the nerves kicked in! The race was on to get ourselves transformed into Danny and Sandy before we had to be back at the venue ... now anyone who knows me will be able to tell you and I need to be able to get ready properly, I have diva fits if I don't feel like I have enough time haha! But luckily I was ready in time for a quick bit of dutch courage before we headed off to the venue! The night seemed to go by so quickly, before we knew it the time had come to get backstage and wait to be called on. When I'm at work I'm loud, bubbly and I like to show confidence within myself but really I'm the opposite. As we were waiting for the act before us to finish I stood there thinking about how I couldn't believe I was about to put myself out there and to be openly judged ... I worried about the stupidest things such as looking too fat on stage. I was wearing a Letterman jacket that was buttoned all the way up and I couldn't help but feel conscience about my size ... but then I thought to myself, this is a one night thing and I have to give it my all. Beyonce has Sasha Fierce and Primal has Prim ... haha! I was going to have to put all my nerves and insecurities away and just have a good time! As we walked out onto stage I saw every one of the amazing people who were rooting for me and Katie and it was those wonderful souls who made me feel confident, it was them who made me feel good about myself and pushed me to believe in myself. It still doesn't feel real ... I can't believe we got through it! We had an absolute blast performing for everyone. It felt AMAZING! As we finished the only thing I wanted to do was give Katie a massive hug! I was so happy and so proud of us.

A while later all the acts met backstage for the three finalists to be announced, the first finalist was Carly, now Carly is an incredible friend of mine and boy can she sing! I was so happy she was a finalist, singing has always been a passion of hers and I was rooting for her all the way. Next to be called were Steven and Eavan who sang amazingly ... now I want you to know that at this point me and Katie really didn't care about winning, even though we told everyone we really wanted to! We were just incredibly happy we got through it and that all of our friends had a good time ... but it seems the judges had an amazing time too because we were the third finalists! By the time we made it onto the stage I didn't know whether to cry or jump up and down with excitement ... so I did both! The final decision was then handed over to the crowd, they had the power to decide who walked away as the winners ... and they voted for us. Me and Katie could not believe it ... we won? The tears were well and truly unstoppable, the sheer love that we got from everyone is the most important thing I will remember from that night. In a world where material items seem to be of high value we seem to forget that there are more valuable things in life. So thank you to all of the amazing friends I have at work, you all mean so much to me and you will never know how much confidence you all give me to be myself ... to just be Prim.

THE BRIGHTON DAY TRIP

Happy Sunday Everyone! This month is going to be exciting over on this little blog of mine, over the bank holiday weekend me and a few friends went on a lovely little trip to Brighton and London. Over the next few weeks I am going to be writing about the different things we got up to! Make sure you're following me on Twitter and Instagram for any cheeky sneak peaks and updates! Today's post is going to focus on our lovely day spent in Brighton! I've chosen some of my favourite photos to show you, enjoy! ... p.s get ready for a super rambly post!

The day started stupidly early, I was at work the night before and I came home late and packed! By the time I had got into bed it was gone 1am! ... and I had to be up at 6! Now everyone knows I'm the late one in the group, so I was incredibly proud that I was awake and ready on time! Go Prim! Because we had to get two trains the journey was quite a long one, I think it was an hour to London and then an hour and a half to Brighton! But we soon made it and I couldn't have been more excited! The first thing we did was have a wee ... #TMI, I know but I had to pay 20p! #WTH ... anyway once we had a wee we started making our way through the town! We were greeted by a lovely man who gave us a map and told us how we could get to the lanes! I've heard such amazing things about the lanes and it was one of the main reasons I wanted to take the trip. One of the places we visited was called Berts Homestore, I could have spent hours in that store. It was filled with amazing nick-nacks and one of the things I picked up was a wooden DIY stag head. I was so excited, I've always wanted a stag head but they've always been so expensive so I thought, hey ... this will do. Well ... long story short its missing about three pieces! #SadFace We were then super hungry so we circled the lanes for a while and found a lovely little place called Kooks ... I will be doing another issue of The Food Diary for Kooks so keep an eye out! Now one thing I loved about Brighton was that all the main places we wanted to visit were quite close to each other, so after dinner we made our way down to the Royal Pavilion. After having a look around the grounds we decided to have a look around inside, I am a real History buff, I love learning about things that have happened in the past and so this was a real treat for me! If you're heading to Brighton I would most definitely recommend visiting the Pavilion, it was absolutely gorgeous inside. I wasn't able to take any photos inside so again, if you're in the area make sure you pop inside! You won't regret it! All that history made us super thirsty and so we headed in to a nearby bar for some drinks! I had an amazing drink called the peach melba ... it was to die for! Once we had rested our feet we decided to head down to the pier! Can I just say I love the sea or any water thingy, I always say if I was an element I would be water! As we made our way down to the pier I decided I wanted an ice cream, I mean I was at the beach! I had to right? Well the seagulls had another idea ... I was only about 1/4 of the way through my ice cream cone when IT came at me and snatched it out of my hands ... it's safe to say I was not impressed. Although my friends and the pier guard seemed to find is very amusing! Haha! We then took a lovely stroll around the pier before walking down to the marina for dinner ... it was a very long walk, very! But I did it! We chose to eat at Zizzis which is one of my favourite places to eat however the service sadly wasn't the best, but I won't get into that too much! After dinner we got a taxi back to the station and made our way to London! I was so glad we managed to get so much done in just one day however I would love to go back and spend some more time exploring the lanes. Here are some of the photos from my day in Brighton!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this weeks post, I had a super lovely time in Brighton and I'm so glad I have the chance to share it with you guys. Let me know if any of you have been before and definitely let me know if I've missed anything so that I know where to go the next time I visit! Hope you guys have a lovely day or evening no matter what you're up to and I shall see you next Sunday!
