THE LUSH REVIEW - DON'T LOOK AT ME

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's been a while since I've done a review, in fact the last in depth review I posted was back in August with 'The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water'! When I uploaded 'The Lush Haul - Oxford Street Edition' I mentioned that I would be popping a few reviews of my favourite products every now and then. Today I wanted to let you guys know how I got on with the 'Don't Look At Me' face mask I picked up that day!

One of the reasons I picked this up was due to the amazing colour of the mask, lined up against the other masks Lush had on offer this one definitely caught my eye! The vivid pastel blue mask consists of lemon juice, grapefruit oil and murumuru butter. Just like my favourite mask from Lush, Love Lettuce, Don't Look At Me has a gritty texture which comes from the ground rice. The texture helps exfoliate the skin leaving it feeling rejuvenated and clean. If I'm completely honest I think Love Lettuce does a much better job at exfoliating however if you have sensitive skin but still want something to help scrub away any flakiness this will do the job! I do have to say one of the reasons I like this mask is how much brighter my skin felt after using it a few times, according to the Lush description this is down to Tunisian Neroli ... I'd tell you more about it but I have no idea what it is! Overall this is a pretty good face mask, the colour is super fun and the results are good too! There are so many more masks to try and I will try some more out but so far nothing, apart from Love Lettuce has really made an exceptional difference!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this little review, let me know if you guys have tried any Lush masks you think might be worth a try! A few of my friends have tried the mushroom one which I want to try but Lush have also released a Christmas mask this year called 'Cranberry' so I think that's at the top of my list!

p.s feel free to check out any of my other Lush hauls linked below!

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I wanted to share the celebrations of Diwali in Leicester with you all. Last week I uploaded 'The Wheel Of Light' and I thought I would kind of continue on with the same feel. My wonderful brother has once again helped with some of the visuals for this post, so I just wanted to say a quick thank you before I go on! Leicester is known for Diwali celebrations and I think we do a pretty amazing job, the whole community, no matter their religion come together on the Golden Mile to celebrate! With music, performers, food and a firework display it's a night you don't want to miss ... Confession time, I actually didn't go this year but I had a very good reason! I spent my evening with two of my gorgeous friends catching up so it was completely worth it! Cookie Explosion and Selfies, that's all I'm saying haha!

Hope you guys have had a lovely week and if you celebrate the festival I hope you have had a lovely Diwali! Let me know what you got up to on the day or if you were on the Golden Mile this year! Now that Diwali has been and gone, it is officially Christmas for me! Yay! I've been doing a lot of research on different types of posts I could do for Blogmas! Let me know if you guys have any ideas at all! Hope you guys like this post and I shall see you next Sunday!

THE WHEEL OF LIGHT

Happy Sunday Everyone! The festival of Diwali has started for me and I love changing things up in the living room with lights and candles, I was going to upload a room tour for you guys but all my Diwali decorations seem to have gone walkabout! So instead I have 'The Wheel Of Light'! Leicester is known for a lot of things and one of those things are the Diwali lights on the golden mile. This year the lights were revamped with the illuminations stretching further than ever before. Masses of people make their way to Leicester for the celebrations each year and to create an even bigger buzz, this year we also had a 'Leicester Eye' style ferris wheel erected on Belgrave Road! The wheel stands at 100 feet and in all honesty just look spectacular!

My amazing brother Rikhil Majithia has taken a bunch of photos of the wheel and he has very generously agreed to let me use a few for this weeks blog post! Please feel free to check out his Instagram and also his blog - AutoFocus! Back to the wheel and its amazingness, we went to go see the wheel pretty much as soon as it was there and I am so glad I did! As we approached it I was wetting myself, I'm not very good with heights and I always think back to the scene in Beverly Hills Cop when the wheel in the movie falls into bits .. my experience with this wheel was thankfully nothing like that! Yay! It was £5 a person which was an okay price and it goes around three times. Now we went on in the evening and so the view unfortunately weren't really that great? I suppose it may be better during the day but I'm not planning to go on the wheel again until it moves into the city centre for Christmas! I'm sure I'll put up a few cheeky instas when I do eventually go on again!

Hope you guys enjoyed this weeks post as well as the amazing visuals! Rikhil is extremely talented and I'm so glad we get to work together on these kind of posts! Let me know if you guys have been on the wheel or if you are planning to do so once it's in the centre for Christmas time! Just a quick mention, I think I'm going to try and do Blogmas this year! Last year I did my own little version with two to three posts a week but I may up the ante and try a post every day! I'm making no promises but let me know if that's something you'd enjoy! Have a lovely week and I shall see you again next week!

THE OVERCOAT

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's come to the time of the year when I love fashion, something about the trends in Autumn just make me so happy inside ... and my bank balance quite the opposite! I did a cheeky little ASOS shop the other day and one of the items I bought was an overcoat. Last year I bought 'The Khaki Parka', which I still love but I've always wanted something a little smarter. When I saw this coat I was in love but also a little scared? Whenever I buy anything I always worry about my size but I've learnt that I need to push past that and wear what I want and love! The overcoat is made from a heavyweight woven black (of course) fabric, because of the weight it hangs really beautifully. It has an asymmetric zip closure which I love because it allows it to stand out from the other overcoats out there on the market. As well as the zip it has two magnets at the neck line, so you can wear it in different ways! It also has a stand collar rather than a blazer style collar, again it makes it different and quite edgy if that's the right word. I was quite worried about the fit because most of the times I buy things online and the fit is completely different to how they look online! But this fits perfectly! Now, I do have to say, for me this was quite a special buy and a treat for myself. It was £100.00 which personally I think is a lot for a coat but it's such a statement piece it's more of an investment rather than just a 'coat'. I can't wait for to winter to come round so that I can walk round in this beauty and all its fabulousness!

I'd like to say a big thank to my incredibly talented brother, Rikhil Majithia who put up with my diva fits and still managed to take some incredible photos of me! Feel free to check out his blog 'AutoFocus'! Let me know if you guys have found any new winter pieces this year, I'd love to have a nose! Hope you guys liked this little post and have a lovely week! I'll be back next Friday for another edition of the insta-diary and then Sunday for another post!
