THE YANKEE CANDLE - SUMMER SCOOP

Happy Sunday Everyone! So the other day my Aloe Water Yankee Candle burnt out ... and I needed a replacement! There's something about burning candles that really calms me and of course the lovely scents don't hurt haha! Anyway, I headed into town to see which one I wanted to try next, part of me wanted to pick up the Aloe Water again but sometimes I find that if I use a specific scent for too long I don't really notice it anymore? So I thought I would switch it up and seeing as Summer officially starts in a few days I picked up Summer Scoop! Can we just stop and look at the colour! It' gorgeous right? I don't  have a lot of colour in my room so I love adding little hints of it and I find that candles are a really good way of doing this. I've bought the smallest jar because I like to change things up but even the small jar burns for ages! Summer Scoop is a completely different scent compared to Aloe Water, it's very bright and sweet! But I don't think it's over powering or sickly at all. For me it's still quite calming because the scent isn't too out there, its quite subtle and warm. If you're not a fan of fruity smells I don't think Summer Scoop will be one for you, but I would still say go and have a sniff of one because ... oh .. it's just so nice!

If you're wanting something a lot less fruity I would definitely suggest trying the Aloe Water. There's a blog post on it here if you want to check it out! Right, I'm now going to go and burn my candle and have a cup of tea! Hope you guys have a lovely day or evening no matter what you're doing and I'll be back next week!
p.s ... It's going to be a good one!

THE SOAP AND GLORY REVIEW - THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER AND BUTTER YOURSELF

Happy Sunday Everyone! I'm really getting into moisturising my face but body moisturising always seems like a right chore! It just takes forever and there is nothing worse than the whole 'I feel all sticky and now I can't do anything' feeling! So I was on the hunt for a new moisturiser and Soap and Glory came to mind straight away! Now you may be thinking, Okay Prim but why did you need two! Because! One of my best friend always says when you need to decide between two, it's both ... always both! So that's exactly what I did!

Now this is a bit of a 'versus' review, there's a lot of things I like about each one of them but I don't completely love either of them, which is a bit disappointing. I don't think I would have minded as much if they were testers or a smaller size but these things are massive! First up I'll give you guys the 411 on The Righteous Butter. In all honesty I think this is my favourite out of the two. I love the scent of this one, it's subtle but it has quite a warm / clean scent, if that makes sense. I think this would be quite nice to pop on in the evening before you head to bed. It has a very thick consistency so you need to work it in, but once you've worked it into the skin it doesn't feel heavy or linger even. So I guess if you had the time in the morning, it would be quite good for then too! I'll move on to 'Butter Yourself', now one thing I have to say is I love the packaging! I love the pump, it's just so quick and easy. Whereas I feel the 'The Righteous Butter' is a bit faffy? I also love how quickly you can work this into your skin, I normally just work it in for a minute and I'm set ... although I do have to let it air out for a while because it has quite a wet consistency and it kind of lingers a bit. Along with the formula, I don't really get along with the scent, when you first pop it on it has a very sickly sweet scent, now I have to say this does die down and you can't smell it as much, but when you're doing a full on body moisturise it's a lot to take in! I'm going to carry on using both because it's always nice to have options but I thought I'd let you know how I got on with them! ... Although can I just say 'The Righteous Butter' with the pump packaging! Yes. Please.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know if any of you have used any moisturisers from Soap and Glory, or even anything you would recommend! I'd love to know how you guys get on, it's always lovely to hear from you. I hope you all have a lovely week and I shall see you next Sunday!

THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN C GLOW BOOSTING MOISTURISER

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you've all had a lovely week, if any of you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I recently picked up a new moisturiser from The Body Shop! I saw them promote it on Instagram and I caved in and went into town to get one for myself! I needed a new face moisturiser anyway so a skincare purchase was due. It's targeted towards 'Dull, Tired and Grumpy' skin ... and that's exactly what my skins been like recently. All I want is for my skin to look fresh and alive, it's that time of year when everyone wants their skin to glow and I'm no different!

Okay so I LOVE IT! The formula for me, is something I've not come across before. Its not creamy like most moisturisers, its more of a gel like texture but it's super light on the skin! To apply it I just dot the moisturiser in a few places over my face and then work it into the skin, it doesn't take long at all because it almost melts as soon as you pop it on. It says on the tub not to apply near the eyes so I'll stay away from that area. I tend to use my 'Bulldog Eye Roll-On' underneath my eyes anyway! Now although it's super light, for the first few minutes when its sinking in you can definitely feel it on the skin. It almost feels quite silicony? Not a word I know ... but you know what I mean! It also stays quite tacky during this time so it's really good under concealer or foundation because the make up has something to stick to, like a primer! In terms of changing my skin for me it was quite instant, I could see the difference after a few days! The Vitamin C in this stuff really helps brighten the skin as well as add a touch of glow. I've actually been a bit lazy and haven't used in a few days and my face definitely misses it ... sorry skin! This has become a staple for my skincare routine and has an important place on my bathroom shelf and I'm sure I'll be using it all summer!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this little review! Have you guys tried anything from the Vitamin C range at The Body Shop? If you have let me know! I love to hear what you guys think of the other things they do! It's always nice to hear from you!

THE S CLUB 7 BRING IT ALL BACK TOUR

Happy Sunday Everyone! ... So today I am going to tell you guys about the most exciting night of my life so far! On Thursday 7th May 2015 I went to my very first concert ... that's right you guys, before this week I had never been to a concert. It's not that I didn't want to ever go to one it's just that it never happened. In November 2014 S Club 7 announced that they were going to reunite and go on tour, like the rest of us 90's kids I was super excited and I knew I had to see them! I spoke to a few of my friends and we made it happen!

The wait between November and now, as you can imagine was horrible but then the day came and I didn't feel ready at all! I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I knew it was going to be amazing! I was super excited but also a little nervous! I was supposed to pack my bag the night before but I decided to watch Hollywood 7 instead! The plan was to watch every single series and also Seeing Double within the week but I ran out of time! So I decided I would do it in the morning ... bad choice! I was running around trying to get everything ready, I was also waiting for an ASOS parcel which was supposed to be my outfit for the night but I then got an email saying it wasn't due until late afternoon! At this point I started to panic because I had no idea what to wear! I ended up over packing and stuffing what felt like everything I own into my tiny little suitcase ... okay so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but still! I finally got everything packed and I left to go pick Suki up! Okay so I might have made a little boo boo and forgot to do just that ... but I remembered and turned round haha! We then met up with the rest of the guys and hit the road! Obviously we listened to S Club the whole way there! Once we got to Birmingham we headed to the apartment we rented out, dropped off our bags and headed out for some food! We went to Las Iguanas and I had the original chicken burger, curly fries and coleslaw! Not to forget some cocktails! I mean how could we not! We had the red lemonade which was absolutely beautiful! Once we had taken care of our stomachs we then headed back to the apartment to take care of our faces and outfits! I always take forever to get ready and this time was no different haha! An hour or two later we were ready!!! The show was at the Genting Arena which was about 20 minutes from where we were staying. But it didn't feel that long at all because just like that we were there! We were really lucky and had amazing seats we were also super early but I'm not a fan of huge crowds so I'm glad we got to our seats before a lot of other people did!

Before I knew it I was on my feet screaming at the top of my lungs counting down to the moment S Club 7 would begin! I have never felt a greater buzz in my life! The adrenaline was pumping through me as the group started the night off with 'Bring The House Down', the crowd along with myself went absolutely crazy! I couldn't believe it was actually happening! They then went on to do 'S Club Party' which was a massive hit with the crowd! We were all 'ooh oohing' and putting our hands in the air! I'm sure a video will pop on my Instagram sooner or later! After 'S Club Party' they then sang 'You're My Number One' and 'Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You' before heading off stage for a quick costume change! Jo then came out in a gorgeous sparkling outfit and sang 'Two In A Million', She sang beautifully, it was amazing! She then introduced Bradley who came out and sang 'Alive' followed by Tina singing 'Stronger' ... two words ... LOVED IT, and then Paul who did an acoustic version of 'Reach'. When Paul came out he looked very nervous but he absolutely blew me away! Everyone had their torches out filling the whole arena with 'stars' it was beautiful! It was then Hannahs' turn to perform followed by Jon and Jo and finally Rachel who was joined by the whole group to sing 'Natural' which is probably my favourite S Club 7 song! After performing 'Have You Ever' and 'You' Rachel then surprised everyone by gracing the stage and doing two of her solo hits! 'Some Girls' and 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex'! The whole gang then came back for 'Viva La Fiesta' and 'Bring It All Back' before covering 'Uptown Funk'! Things then got emotional as the band sang 'Say Goodbye' ... I'm not gonna lie I was very close to shedding a tear. Back in the day I wept when they released this! But in true S Club style they bought the tempo back up and sang the original version of 'Reach' ... It was then over! ... Or so it seemed! I wanted more, Suki wanted more, Arti wanted more ... Birmingham wanted more! They had to come back right? I mean the hadn't sang 'Don't Stop Movin' or 'Never Had A Dream Come True' yet! Suddenly the stage lights came on and we saw seven silhouettes! The piano intro began and everyone went crazy! 'Never Had A Dream Come True' was absolutely beautiful, the whole group was dressed in white ... they looked like angels! To finish what was already an amazing show they ended it all on a high with 'Don't Stop Movin' before being lowered off stage ... and this time they weren't going to come back!

The adrenaline was still pumping through me as we left for the train station and we came across some tour busses ... now I've never done this before, mainly because it was my first concert but everyone knows what tour busses behind the arena means ... A CHANCE TO SEE S CLUB 7 EVEN CLOSER! We were told a few times that they wouldn't be coming out but S Club fans do not take no for an answer! We are dedicated! My feet were frozen and hurting but I was not going to let anything stop me! We waited for around an hour and a half before the security man ... Hello Jash ... came and told us someone was going to come and say hello! It was Jon! He was so lovely! He came out and said hello to us all and took pictures! The security man came back and said that was all but he should have known we wouldn't have budged! We waited again for another 30 minutes before we decided to call it a night. I really didn't want to walk away, I would have waited all night if I had to! As we were walking away the street light, just one, turned off. It was a SIGN! We saw lots of feet and ran back to see them all standing in front of the bus! We shouted them over but it seemed they were just going to get on the bus ... but then! Hannah and Tina danced past ... not walked past but danced passed security and ran over to us! They were both so energetic and lovely! I even asked Hannah if I could get a hug because I didn't get one and she was like 'Yeah Sure, Come here!' I then had a little chat with Tina before taking a picture and then Rachel came out for hugs and pictures! All three of the ladies were so beautiful! We didn't get to speak to Jo but she looked amazing too! We then had a little chat with Bradley before they all got pulled away by security! I was so happy ... not only did I get to see them in concert but I got to actually see them, hug them and chat to them! ... Best Night Ever!

A big thank you to my lovely friends who came along with me and also S Club 7 for an amazing night!

THE HAIR ROUTINE

Happy Sunday Everyone! I thought I would do something a little different for you guys today, I'm doing a routine/tutorial post for the first time on Prim and Propa! It's nothing fancy just an everyday hair routine! If you guys have read any of my hair care blog posts you'll know that I'm really trying to take care of my hair and that mean styling my hair a little differently!

I start off with towel dried hair just taking off the excess water so that I don't have to over do it with my hair  dryer! Heat is one of the reasons that my hair has become damaged over the past year! Another reason is the amount of product that I put into my hair, I've managed to take that down to just two! The first being mousse, I like to use the Vo5 Plump It Up Heat Defence Volume Whipped Mousse ... such a long name! I put about a pumpful into my hair and then blow dry using a pin tail comb. I use this to train my hair into the direction I need it to go in and also to smooth it over! I'll do this until my hair is just a little damp because I then like to go in with a small round paddle brush! Although the pin tail comb helps put everything in place it also flattens the hair and so I use the paddle brush to help bring the volume back! Once its all dry I like to set my hair dryer to the cool setting to help fix everything in place! If I feel like I want a little more volume I'll use a little bit of Schwarzkopf Got2B Powderful! This stuff is amazing! I rub the powder in my hands and then just run my fingers through my hair ... Instant Volume!

And there you have it! It's super easy to do but a really nice way to style your hair! I really hope you guys enjoyed this post, I know it's a little different but I thought I would try it out! If you want tutorials on anything else leave a comment below for me! Or just say hi! I'd love to hear what you guys think!
