THE BODY SHOP REVIEW - SEAWEED DEEP CLEANSING GEL WASH

Happy Sunday Everyone! This week I wanted to tell you guys about a new piece of skincare I started using a while back. I'm always looking at what's new in the skincare department as well as things that I might have missed out on! Now, saying that I am also probably one of the laziest when it comes to skincare! Sunday seems to be the day that I really pamper my skin and can spend anything up to an hour really treating my skin the way I probably should every day! I needed something that I could use  super quick first thing in the morning but would also be good enough to really get my skin clean! Et Voila ... The Body Shop comes through once again!

This isn't the first time I've dabbled with the Seaweed range from TBS, I did a review on a bunch of their stuff on my blog a while back ... take a look by clicking *here* Sadly, I didn't think much of it. It dried out my skin and left it with that really awful tightness! So obviously I was a little sceptical trying the gel cleanser out! But ... I was pleasantly surprised! I don't know whether the formula has been changed a little but this didn't dry my skin out at all! The gel formula lathers up beautifully and leaves your skin feeling super clean and fresh! The seaweed element also leaves your skin with a cooling vibe, so I prefer to use this first thing in the morning to wake my skin up and reduce any puffyness! Would I say this is revolutionary? Probably not, but I love this stuff! It does exactly what it says it does on the packaging and for a quick face wash to start the day I think this is really worth a try! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE SECRET SCENT BOX - APRIL EDITION

Happy Sunday Everyone! ... So I took a little break from posting, only because I've been ridiculously busy! Now that makes me sound like I've got an amazing social life, I haven't haha! But I've been really busy with work, and I've had this horrible toothache which has made me just want to get in to bed whenever I can! Anyway, I'm back and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things! One thing I wanted to mention was my Instagram! Over the last few weeks my Instagram has hit over 1000 followers ... something I thought would never happen! So I just wanted to say a massive thank you if you do follow me ... if not head over and share the love, links at the top! Back to todays post, I have another Secret Scent Box to review for you all!

This months box came with three scents that I have never used or even tested in stores before so I was super excited to get my hands on them! The first one I spritzed was 'Joop - WOW' - the card in the box describes the scent as 'a suprisingly, fresh, woody, vibrant, exciting fragrance for the free-spirited man who has nothing to prove, to himself or to others' - a very bold statement, but I completely agree! This isn't a scent I would usually go for at all. The bottle in the store would not call out to me, it looks a bit more for the older man? If that makes sense? But that's another thing I love about this box! There is nothing else but the sense of smell that will help you decide whether you like the scent or not! 'Versace - The Dreamer' is neither here or there for me really, It's just a nice scent? However I do feel it's really versatile, I can see myself using this during the day for when I'm off to work but also if I'm going out during the evening! ... I feel like it's really going to grow on me though, as the more I smell it, the more I like it! The last scent, is going to be my favourite I think! I love a sweet scent and with top notes of Red Apple and Mandarin Orange this is definitely my cup of tea! Again., I feel like this scent is super versatile, the sweetness of the scent is going to make this easy to wear during the day but then the deeper middle and base notes gives the scent a super sexy edge! Once again the box has wowed me! I love this subscription and everything about it! For only £15 you cannot go wrong, and remember you can save yourself a cheeky 15% off your first box with 'PRIM15'! So head over to secretscentbox.co.uk now and take a peek! Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!

THE LUSH REVIEW - FIVE O'CLOCK WHISTLE SHAVE CREAM

Happy Sunday Everyone! Today we're looking at another shaving cream from those wonderful people at Lush, 'Five O'Clock Whistle'! This isn't the first shaving cream I have reviewed, I also did a review for 'Prince' not too long ago which you can read by clicking 'here'! I was honestly quite blown away with how good Prince was and so I thought I would try one of the other shaving creams Lush have to offer!

So right off the back with first impressions, the scent! It smells just like Soap and Glory's sugar crush range ... but manlier? The cream has a mixture of coffee, lavender, virgin olive oil and fresh lime juice which probably gives it sugar crush vibes! Unfortunately the smell is where the positives seem to stop. I found the formula to be quite different from Prince, this seems to be a bit more thin and watery? I found myself using quite a bit to get an even layer of the cream before I could start shaving. When I did eventually begin shaving I didn't get a close enough shave leaving my face quite patchy ... and I actually did have to go over the areas quite a few times to get the shave I desired. I will say that once I had finished shaving my skin did feel nourished to the touch but actually I could feel that the skin was quite irritated, possibly because I was going over the areas that I couldn't shave properly. I was a little disappointed to say the least and so I kept trying, with different razors, by prepping the face ... but I just didn't get the same payoff. Unfortunately for me this is something that I don't see myself picking up again, however I will definitely be going back in to pick up another tub of Prince! I hope you guys found this post useful, let me know if you've had any experiences with 'Five O'Clock Whistle', how did you get on? Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you next Sunday for another dose of Prim!
